"What'd you think of the fight?" Hilde asked me after the tournament was over. We were walking through the halls, heading in the direction of my room."It's not really my idea of fun." I shrugged. "I did get to see an old friend, though." I smiled, looking at the floor as we walked.
"In the box?" Hilde asked. I quickly shook my head.
"No, a contestant." I explained.
"Did they win?" Hilde questioned curiously, tilting her head, but still looking straight ahead.
"He did." I confirmed.
"Who was it?" She asked. I didn't see a point in keeping the fact that I knew Hulk a secret. It wasn't something I needed to keep from the Grandmaster.
"Hulk." I answered with an uncaring shrug. Brunnhilde stopped in her tracks. I took another step before realizing that she had stopped. I turned to look at her and found her already staring at me.
"You know Hulk?" She questioned me seriously.
"Ya," I nodded, "I've known him for years, but he ran away from Midgard a little over a year ago." I explained. "I guess I missed him." I told her. Hilde thought for a moment before a smirk broke out on her lips.
"Follow me." She instructed and turned on her heel, heading down the opposite direction.
"W-wait!" I called after her and jogged to catch up. She was fast walking which didn't help. "Where are we going?" I laughed when I fell in step beside her.
"To see your friend, of course." Hilde smiled a cocky smile. My eyes lit up.
"Really?" I asked hopefully. I just hoped Hulk remembered me. It would suck if he didn't.
"He doesn't have very many friends here." She shrugged. "It'll be good for you both."
Brunnhilde led me to a corridor that branched off of the arena. She stopped in front of two tall, wide doors and entered a six digit code. The metal doors slid open to reveal a large room. The walls were covered in red and white stripes. Everything in the room was three times too big. Large enough for a Hulk.
"Angry girl!" A deep, growl-like voice said, but I didn't see Hulk anywhere.
"Big guy!" Hilde gestured widely. "I got a present for you!" She called out to him. "Oh, watch out!" Hilde grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to her side as Hulk dropped from the ceiling.
"Present? What present?" Hulk asked her. His words were slow, gravelly, like a child speaking for the first time.
"Hulk!" I smiled, stepping out from behind Hilde. Hulk looked down at me with a confused expression before reaching forward and picking me up.
"Angel!" Hulk smiled happily and tossed me in the air, catching me before I hit the ground. I wasn't worried, I knew Hulk wouldn't drop me.
"Hulk, you know I hate that name." I furrowed my brows at him, but couldn't drop my smile. He had actually never called me that before. Hulk had never called my anything really. He wasn't big on talking before.
He huffed at me playfully and set me down. "How've ya been, Hulk?" I asked.
"Hulk, champion!" He raised his fist proudly. "They love Hulk. Hulk win every time!"
"I saw," I laughed, "but, what else?"
Hulk thought for a minute, but got frustrated when he couldn't think of anything.
"Have you been training?" I asked, gently helping him.
"With Angry girl!" Hulk said, his mood back up.
