First Encounter

LALISA'S POV

It's been a week since I settled here in Korea. Everything that I need to do is done already, like unpacking my things, getting my schedules in school which my brother did for me since I was too lazy to do so, and everything else that has to be done. The school gave me a week to settle myself first before I officially attend my classes so obviously, I haven't met anyone yet. But I have been to my new school once already, which happened three days ago since I wanted to check out everything they had to offer there and so far, everything is great. I might actually just ask my parents to let me settle here for good.

Today is my first day at school and I'm already here in the parking lot, still inside my car. If you're wondering why I haven't gone out yet, well that's because everyone in the parking lot right now is literally looking at my car like they are waiting for me to go out to see who's inside. They are probably wondering who is this new person who drives a BMW iNEXT. 'Damn. I just wanna go to fucking school without attracting anyone. I'm so stupid for driving this car when I shouldn't have if I wanted to be invisible.' I mentally thought. Though I know this is Impossible because of my looks. Now, I'm not bragging or anything but I am beautiful according to others, and when everyone has been telling you that since forever, it's hard not to believe anymore.

I took a deep breath before I got my bag and open the door to my car. As soon as I got out I immediately wore my sunglasses and slung my bag to my shoulder and walked to my room. I am trying so hard not to mind these people who are openly staring at me right now as I fasten my step a little to my class. As soon as I found my room, I immediately got in and took my seat in the last row who happened to be the only vacant seat aside from my front that has two vacant seats and the one on my right side. I am aware of the eyes that are gawking at me right now but I didn't mind it and tried to act normal as I took out my book from my bag and started reading while waiting for the teacher to come.

After a while, the teacher arrived and started looking around, and when her eyes found me she asked me to come forward to introduce myself. Damn, I hate this so much. I walked to the front and faced my classmates, and just as I was about to introduce myself three people suddenly came in.

"I'm so sorry for being late prof!" The one with the raven head gurl said and seemed to be the shortest among the three.

"It's fine. this is your first time anyway, I was wondering why I haven't seen you yet." My new professor said calmly. 'Looks like these people are good students huh.'

"Oh. We were at a meeting with our parent's prof. We're really sorry." The one who looked like a chipmunk said.

"It's okay. Go ahead and take your seat." The two took their seat which is the one in front of mine. But the one who looks like a cat didn't. "What's wrong Miss Kim?" The professor asked her.

I was just staring at her. 'I love cats, and she looks like one.' I can't help but smile at my subconscious thought.

"My seat has someone else things." Damn. 'Her voice, it's cold.' I pouted a little at that thought. 'I was kinda hoping to hear her soft voice. Kittens are supposed to be soft.' I got even sadder at that. Haist. I'm so weird. I shouldn't be having these thoughts.

But as soon as I realize what she said I suddenly run to the seat I chose earlier and took my things. "Here. I'm so sorry I didn't know this seat was already taken." I said as I smiled at her.

She was just emotionlessly staring at me like she wasn't even in front of a human being. Everyone in the class started whispering and I started getting uncomfortable from her stare so I immediately looked away.

"It's okay. You can take it." She coldly said but a little softer this time. She immediately took the seat beside mine which is on my right side. Everyone was murmuring something which I couldn't understand since I can't hear it. But I heard the cat-eyed girls' friend teased her about giving up something which she never did before. I didn't really have time to ponder on it as the teacher asked me to continue my introduction but just let me do it here in my place.

"Hi, guys. My name is Lalisa Manoban, you can just call me Lisa. I'm a new student from Thailand. I hope to get along with you guys." I said smiling widely at everyone. They clapped their hands and start complimenting me which made me shy so I immediately took my seat without waiting for the teacher to tell me to do so.

"Hi, I'm Park Chaeyoung but I prefer to be called Rosé which is my English name. You look really pretty, like a barbie girl." The chipmunk girl said.

"Thanks, Rosie!" I said with a smile.

"Rosie?"

"Yeah. It's cute. Is it okay to call you that?" I asked worriedly. 'Stupid Lisa. You should've asked for permission first.' I mentally rolled my eyes at that.

"It's fine! I actually like it!" She said while smiling widely at me which made me smile as well.

"Hey! Jisoo here." The girl at her right said.

"Hello!" I replied with a small wave. Which she just smiled at.

I looked at the girl on my right side as I was waiting for her to introduce herself but it never happened so I just looked away and focused on the lesson in front. I loved studying so my grades are good. My grades were never a problem so I'm good. I have to catch up with the lessons which I already did when I was given a week to settle in. After an hour of class, the bell rang, and the students immediately rose from their seats and started leaving which shocked me as hell. 'Aren't they gonna wait for the teacher to asked as to leave before they do?' I thought as I remained seated.

Rosé Immediately looked at me when she saw me not leaving. When she saw my expression she immediately understood and took my hand. "Let's go. This is YG. It's been like this from the start. The rules are as long as the class is done then it's done so meaning if the bell rang, doesn't matter if the prof asked us to leave or not, we can leave." She explained while we were walking to the cafeteria. The two are at our back while silently walking as well. It's like a mutual understanding already that I am having lunch with them.

"But isn't that a bit disrespectful?"

"Oh no. As I said, it's the rule."

I just nodded at that and just shrugged it off. As soon as we enter the cafeteria, everyone immediately looked at us. "I'm sorry about the stares Lis. We're kind of famous here ya know, I'm not bragging or anything tho." She said like she's worried I'd see her differently.

I chuckled at that. "No. It's okay. I understand."

"But looks like you got fans yourself too. On your first day at that too huh." She said teasingly as she subtly pointed at people who were gawking at me.

"Shut up," I said as we both laugh it off. "Let's just go take a seat. I'm starving."

"Girl me too." She said while rubbing her stomach as we took a seat that happened to be just for them. Wow.

"Hey, Jen and I are gonna order our foods. What do you want guys?" Jisoo said.

"Just the usual babe." Babe? Don't tell me. Wow. Cool. "How about you Lis?" Rosé asked.

"I don't really know the menu yet so just surprise me."

"Well. Jennie will." She casually said as she left. Jennie huh. Nice name.

Jennie looked at me like she's hesitating a little. I just smiled at her. "It's okay. I'll just get my own food." I was just about to stand up when she's stopped me by holding my arm and softly forced me to take a seat again.

"I'll go get it." She said as she left.

I looked at Rosie again. I was shocked when she was teasingly looking at me.

"What?"

She just shrugged and smirked which left me dumbfounded for a moment before shrugging it off and just shook my head at her. 'Yeah. She's weird.'
