HOPELESS

You know how it feels to be completely hopeless and consider yourself a goner? That was what she felt

Why?

How?

Those were the questions that run helter skelter in her mind. She felt stupid for taking a stranger's advice but she later realised that wasn't Fateemah's fault. Fateemah gave her an advice that sounds healthy and helpful but the problem is from her

Her heart

This implies that she doesn't have a good heart. This is the Meaning of what had happened to her. She fell on the floor hugging her legs so tightly and crying into it. People often say crying doesn't solve anything. But to her it does. It helps take away quarter part of the pain that stings the heart, mind and soul. She called herself a fool as she realised that she was giving her heart the Ruth it doesn't deserve. It deserves the pricks, punctures, stings, any sort of pain you know

But the question that runs in her mind is why would he change all of a sudden? The Abdullah she lived with would not hurt a soul yet try to get the person's trusts and hurt the person. She bit her lips as she realised that she was still letting him use her weakness. He used her weakness to get her trust him just to hurt her feelings.

What did she do to deserve that type of hatred

"Ya Allah if I had offended you so much that was why you punished me this way, Ya Allah I ask for forgiveness. I ask you for forgiveness Ya Allah" She muttered to herself before standing up

"I'm not buying that you know!" Maryam huffed trying to block his way

"Get out of my Way Maryam"

"I don't understand why you are doing this! I keep saying sorry to you. I don't even know what I did but I just agreed to say sorry but what do you keep doing to me "
She scoffed "Well I shouldn't be surprised though. It's clear that all the attitude, the care, the love was all an act! Just to break my heart? Answer me You stupid---" She stopped as a hot pain she felt on her cheeks. He slapped her so hard that her face turned sideways

"Don't you dare talk to me like that if not- you know the rest"  People usually say, Arranged Marriage work.  But all he knows is theirs would never work! Ever!
He pushed her out of his way and went out shutting the door

What is happening to her?

Why her?

He made sure to make her trust him so much that it hurts. After all that had happened but she still feel his love? This is improbable!

Since after he left the house that day, Maryam didn't set her eyes on him. And since after she slapped that fool, she didn't also see him again and she hopes she won't see him again.

"Mims!" Fateemah called for the 5th time managing to snap Maryam out of her trance

" Can I by any chance know what you were thinking of? " Fatima asked

"Nothing...I was just thinking about home. Missing home" She quickly said after finding out the right lie to use

"Haha try again later. I'm not buying that lie" Fatima scorned shaking her head

"Oh God don't start Fatima"

"Maryam, you are actually a terrible liar. Maryam I'm your friend. I know we met not so long but Maryam I feel like we are from the same parents-"
