Chapter 9

Avu didn't come for next three days as well. Now Sid was getting restless. He was dying to see her, to talk to her. He was thinking because of his proposal, she is not coming. Though he proposed her, he never realized her absence matters to him so much. He was thinking to go to Avu's home. Though Avu always made one or the other excuse to not let anyone come to her home. He knew she might not be comfortable but he also had a limit of patience.

But finally next day, as he got out of his car, he saw her getting out of cab. She also saw him but today she looked down nervously and started walking inside instead of talking to him. He was hurted by her behavior but he was happy atleast he saw her today. He called her from behind. She stopped but didn't turn.

Sid: Avni I need to talk to you

Avu: I am getting late. I have to prepare presentation

She didn't even look at him once and quickly went inside without waiting for his response. He sighed and went in his cabin. He rested his head on back of chair. He couldn't get over her thoughts. How will he talk to her. Will she listen to him. All this was roaming in his mind. He attended the meetings. But he wasn't paying much attention.

He tried talking to Avu. Once twice thrice. But everytime she just made an excuse and left. He controlled himself for some days but now he was getting enough of her.

Their whole group used to notice them. They wanted to help but they didn't know how. Avu was not talking to anyone. And even Sid had started being quite nowadays.

One day, Avu was about to leave.

Sid: Avni we need to talk

It was not like always pleading or requesting. He stated sternly. But she didn't stop and kept walking.

Avu: I am getting late

Sid: Just listen to me once. Give me 10 minutes that's it

Avu: I am sorry. I can't

Now Sid gave up. He held her wrist and turned her towards himself.

Avu: Let go of me

Sid: I know you are extremely busy in I don't know what. Everytime I try to talk you, you just run away. From almost two weeks, I am trying to talk to you. But you are not ready to listen only. What am I asking for you yrr. 10 minutes. Just 10 minutes of your so called busy life. I think I am mad running after you. To talk it out. To clear everything. I am not talking to my friends. My mom is so worried about me. But what am I doing. Ignoring everything, just trying to talk to you once. Just once. But you know what, you don't give a fuck. Alright I respect your feelings. I won't ever come in your way. Sorry to disturb you, interfere in your life. But from today I swear I won't. If you don't want me, I won't come to you. Bye

He bursted out finally. Avu was in tears. He was about to leave but suddenly.

Avu: You wanna talk to me right. And I know what you want. You want to know na my answer to your proposal and if it's a no then why

Sid looked at her then looked away.

Sid: If you don't want to tell, I am not forcing you

Avu looked down and took a deep breath.

Avu: Let's go

Sid: Where?

Avu:.....
