Chapter 20

Avu went to Reem's room and saw her instructing her PA.

Reem: Look there should be no mistake. We need this contract at any cost

PA: Sure ma'am. Don't worry

Her pa left.

Avu: Reem is there something special today?

Reem: Actually it's a very important day for our company. A very big company is coming for contract. I am trying for meeting with them for a long back and finally they accepted. We need this contract at any cost

Avu: Oh

Reem was busy with checking all presentations. Avu was getting a strong feeling something big gonna happen today for sure. Reem told her a brief of contract's Terms and Conditions, etc. She went in the meeting hall with others.

Reem came along with CEO of other company. Avu got a big shock seeing him. She was numb seeing him. His eyes met with her. They had an eye contact which was unnoticed by others. It was broken by Reem.

Reem: Mr. Nigam, my hearty welcome to you on behalf of all my employees. I can express enough gratitude for accepting our request for this meeting. Hope this meeting is fruitful for both our companies

So it's none other than one and only the Siddharth Nigam.

Sid just nodded not really paying an attention. He was just thinking about her. They started the meeting. They started the presentations. Sid was trying to pay attention while Avu was totally lost in her thoughts. She just wanted to somehow from all this. She was done with all the shitty dramas taking place in her life. She couldn't bare now. She was just craving for some peace now. And she figured out maybe this was the feeling she was getting. But she was really not ready to face him. She thought he won't even look at her. She won't be even surprised if he had moved on and settled with someone by now. Though she would be truly happy for him, it somewhere even pricked her heart.

She was thinking all this when meeting ended. Sidreem stood up.

Sid: I am ready to sign this contract with your company on behalf of Nigam Enterprises. We would be glad to work with you Miss Sameer

Reem: Thank you so much sir. It will be great working with you and we will try our best to not let you down in any way

Sid smiled.

Sid: Pleasure is ours miss

Both shooked hands and signed the contract. They both left for cup of coffee and talk. After they were done Sid bid her bye and was going towards exit.

On the other hand, Avu was walking but her attention was on file she was reading. She bumped into Sid and all her papers felt down. He held her by waist before she could fall. Both were looking into each other's eyes with many feelings. The pain both suffered, the way they craved for each other, how much they missed each other.

Avu came back in senses and jerked him. He left her immediately. She started picking up the papers. Sid helped her.

Avu: Thank you Mr. Nigam and I am extremely sorry

She said looking everywhere but him.

Sid: Av....

He wanted to say something but she started moving. Sid held her wrist.

Sid: Avu I need to talk

Avu tried getting her wrist free.

Avu: The meeting is over. And Mr. Nigam I think you should talk to our CEO about the contract not an employee

Sid: Stop behaving like you don't know anything when there is nothing you don't know

Avu: No I don't

She said looking away.

Avu: Leave my hand. You are touching me without my permission

She said coldly. It hurted him badly. He immediately left her. She was about to leave.

Sid: I never wanted to force you. But I am sorry. I am leaving. But I will wait for you in My coffee day (I don't know if any such place exists 😛😛😛😛) at 5 PM. Agar kbhi bhi kuch samjha hai to aa jana. Nhi to it's upto you. If you won't I will get it I am nothing to you nor I was ever. I am nit forcing you. It's totally your wish

He left with that leaving her with her thoughts.
