More time had passed and despite akumatizing half of Paris in the short time, Gabriel had never reached his goal, those two miraculous, the superheroes Ladybug and CatNoir were wearing.

It was Nathalie, who had made the suggestion, to akumatize her and turn her into Catalyst, so she would be able to grant him the power of akumatizing as many Parisians as he liked.

He had tried to talk her out of this, but after she had promised him, that she would stay back inside the mansion, down in his lair, while he would be outside, fighting those ridiculous children, he had agreed.

Now, almost at the end of heroe's day, she could sense, that he was cornered and that his defeat was near and she grunted to then take the elevator upstairs and get the peacock miraculous out of the safe.

Only a moment later, Hawkmoth, who was walking backwards in utter despair, trying to escape CatNoir, Ladybug, Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee, heard a soft voice saying:

"Hawkmoth, I am Mayura! You're up against the world plagued by your deepest, darkest despair. Let me help you!"

"No, don't do that!"

When he arrived back at the mansion, after being saved by the large sentimonster, Mayura created, he had to pick up Nathalie from the cold stone floor and carry her upstairs, where she slowly gained back her consciousness.

"I told you, never to use the peacock miraculous!", he said very softly.

"I had no choice Sir, I had to safe you!"

She coughed weakly.

"It's damaged, it's way too dangerous!"

"I want to help you, all the way to the end!"

"Thank you Nathalie!", he said with a loving smile and placed his hand on top of hers, then his other on her slowly growing belly, "but you have to think of our baby too, alright? So please, don't do that again!"

She gazed to the floor.

"I feel as if it was all my fault!", she mumbled quietly.

Gabriel stared at her in disbelief.

"Don't ever think something like that again. If t was anyone's fault, then it was mine. And n come, I'll take you back upstairs. And...", he gazed down at the slightly visible bump, while he carried her up the stairs, "I think, we should eventually tell Adrien the truth about us!"

She shook her head vigorously.

"Don't! There's still the chance to succeed. Don't tell him already!"

"Fine, but you won' be Mayura again!"

Nathalie agreed. For now.

More time passed and luckily, Nathalie's belly was still growing slowly, so Adrien didn't notice, that something was going on. At least until she was accompanying him to the museum to have a look at Mr Kubdel's great find. There she almost collapsed from a dizzy spell.

The concerned teenager quickly hurried towards her and helped her outside, insisting on going home immediately. There he watched worriedly, as his father brought her a glass of water.

"We have to tell him, Nath. You can't continue like that. And you shouldn't try to squeeze yourself into your clothes either. It can't be good for our child and for you!"

"But...."

Then she told him about the sentimonster, that was turned into stone from the volcano and that she would be able to revive.

He sighed then nodded and allowed her to go, after she assured him, that she wouldn't be creating a senimonster of her own and because of that, she wouldn't get hurt again.

Only a few weeks later, he still couldn't believe, that he had trusted her. After miracle queen had been defeated and Ladybug had become the new guardian, she had collapsed into his arms, still transformed until shortly before he had placed her in the back seat of the car.

Now she was still recovering from all of this in his and Emilie's old bedroom and he was still trying to get those cursed jewels, to revive a woman he had moved on from and decided for Nathalie and his deep and endless love for her, at the very moment, he had heard her as Mayura for the first time. And now he was going to tell her.

He sat down on the mattress with her, kissing her lips first, then her now very well visible belly.

"How are my two girls doing?", he asked sweetly.

"Much better", she hummed, "I made it into the bathroom without my crutches this morning!"

He furrowed his brows for the split of a second, then relaxed again. Taking her hand and placing a soft kiss on her knuckles, he said calmly:

"That's great, my love! But I have some great news too. I have created a Sentimonster and given it both miraculous, to bring to Alya Cesaire, so she can hand them to Ladybug!"

"Why? Why would you do that? She only wanted to...she just wanted to....and now she's dead and it's all my fault......I...."

He pulled her into his embrace.

"I told you already, none of that is your fault. I love you Nathalie and I won't risk your health and our baby's ever again. For nothing in the world, do you hear me?"

"But..."

"Shush! I already told Adrien to meet us here in a couple of minutes and then, we will tell him the truth! That day, when he thought, his mother was already gone for a year, I still don't know, what caused that time jump, but we both know, it's just been a couple of months, right?"

He rubbed her belly lovingly as a proof.

Nathalie nodded and sighed.

"Fine, if we have to. He deserves t know, what happened!"

Gabriel kissed her passionately when they heard a sudden gasp.

"A-A-Adrien!", Nathalie stuttered.

But the boy beamed at them widely and blurted out:

"I knew it, I knew that you loved her. Did you want to speak to me about that?"

Gabriel nodded.

"Actually, there's more!", he looked down at his hand on the young woman's belly.

Adrien's eyes followed his and he gasped again, then jumped onto the bed, exclaiming:

"Oh my God, that's so great you guys. Can I feel the baby kick?"
