The very second, the akumatization wore off, Nathalie's legs gave in and she collapsed in front of ChatNoir, who caught her the last second.

"Nathalie!", he gushed out in shock, his voice barely more than a whisper.

"What did you just say?", the fatigued woman asked weakly.

But before he could answer, Ladybug shook her head.

"Don't, Adrien!", she said into his ear, only for him to understand.

He nodded.

"You're right, as usual, M'lady. I will soon detransform, will you take Miss Sancoeur back to the Agreste mansion?"

"Of course, Chat! Pound it?", she held out her fist and with a sad, barely audible, "pound it!", he vanished into the Parisian night.

"Are you alright?", Ladybug asked the young assistant of Gabriel Agreste worriedly, "you're not looking so good!"

"I...", she coughed strongly, "...I'm fine. Just need to get back to...", another coughing fit, stronger than the one before.

Ladybug didn't wait for her to finish her speech and picked her up to bring her back to the mansion, hoping desperately, that Adrien had already arrived there. Landing directly on top of the stairs in front of the two winged, wooden entrance door, she was about to knock, when the door already swung open and the young model blurted out:

"Nathalie! What happened? Are you alright? I just arrived home and saw the news. Why did you get akumatized? What happened? Was it father again? Did he yell at you?"

"Adrien, calm down please!", the assistant croaked hoarsely and started to cough violently again.

"Can you show me to her room, Ki....I mean, Adrien?"

The sick woman cocked her head to what she had heard. Could it be? Could Adrien be ChatNoir? It didn't matter. Not anymore. Gabriel wouldn't even consider to save her too, once he had the chance to save Emilie. She had once tried to make him happy, but to which cost?

"Of course, Ladybug. Just follow me!"

The door to Gabriel's office opened and the designer stepped through, his eyes widening, the moment he saw Nathalie being carried by the superheroine.

"Nathalie!", he mouthed, the pain visible in his eyes. But neither Ladybug nor Adrien noticed. And Nathalie just looked the other way. He had disappointed her twice in a very short amount of time. First, when he had let Ladybug trick him and lost the bunny miraculous and then, today, by abusing her mental and physical pain, to akumatize her.

He watched the girl take the weakened woman up the stairs and into her bedroom, placing her on top of the duvet.

"Thank you, Ladybug, I can handle it from here!", Gabriel, who had followed them, said, but his own son turned around and looked at him, yelling:

"Back off! This is all your fault! Whatever you did, to make Nathalie vulnerable for that akuma, I don't even want to know. But since the moment, Nathalie returned home, something is wrong between the two of you and I am very certain, that it isn't Nathalie's fault! So just go and let me take care of her!"

The designer inhaled sharply, then nodded.

"Fine, I'll talk to you about this later. For now, help Nathalie to lay down and get some rest. You still have some things to do for today, remember that, Adrien!"

"Yes father, with pleasure!", he said sarcastically through gritted teeth.

Gabriel gave his assistant a last apologetic glance, then turned on his heels and rushed out of the room and down the stairs and into his office, quickly pressing onto the buttons in his wife's painting, to immediately vanish into the ground.
