Gabriel carried Nathalie up to her room, where he gently sat her down on the bed, her feet on the ground, as he asked,

"Is there anything you need?"

Nathalie nodded and asked him timidly.

"If you wouldn't mind, could you help me get to the bathroom? I don't want to put these on," she pointed at the metal devices, which supported her legs throughout the day usually, "and it's really annoying to go there with the crutches, because I never know, where to put them, without having to pick them up every other time, after they slipped away and landed on the floor."

Gabriel couldn't completely hide his grin, hearing the anger in her voice over such a simple thing, but instantly agreed.

"Of course I won't mind, love! Come, I'll help you walk, yeah?"

"Okay. Thanks a lot!"

He shook his head, as he leaned down to wrap his arms around her and help her get up, then laid one arm around her waist to keep her steady. When they arrived in front of the sink, Nathalie was trembling already.

"I guess, you should take a seat, Nath. Toilet?"

She blushed but feeling her last strength diminish, the assistant agreed.

"Would you please be so kind and close the lid first? I feel very uncomfortable, if I am sitting on an open toilet seat with my clothes on." She pleaded.

The man chuckled, but did as she had asked him to do.

"As you wish, Mademoiselle Sancoeur! Would you like me to give you some privacy?" Gabriel questioned courteously.

"Yes, please!" came her answer while she blushed even stronger.

"Well, I'll go and change into something more comfortable. Are there any clothes you would like me to bring you before I leave? I mean, you either wear you full work attire or your pyjama. But I do remember you in regular sweatpants and a shirt or top. So?"

He smiled, when he thought back to the time when they had spent each minute of their spare time together, had first been friends and then after sharing a kiss while playing truth or dare, had become aware of how much they felt for each other and their relationship had quickly turned very serious.

"... maybe."

Gabriel flinched and instantly apologised.

"I'm sorry, I just... what were you saying?"

"I said, I'd like to get into my pyjama pants, because they're really comfy, but I would prefer a top instead of the upper piece. What have you been thinking about?"

This time it was the man who turned scarlet red.

"Well, just tell me where to find those things. There's enough time to talk later on. I just remembered how you looked back then and what you were wearing. I kept wondering, when you changed into being professional all of the time, that's all," he asked.

"Seriously? Can't you even imagine, when I started to shut everything out? Every feeling, every single emotion, I ever experienced? But you're right. We can speak about those things afterwards. The tops are in the third drawer from the top in the dresser and the pants should be in here. Have a look at the back of the door!" Nathalie told him.

He grabbed them on his way into her room and tossed them towards her, making the woman shake her head but laugh.

"Gabriel, what's taking you so long?" she called out to him a few minutes later.

He returned with a sheepish grin, admitting that he had accidentally pulled open the second drawer first. She gasped, as this was the one with her bras.
