                                                                                                                                          *****

As dinner came to a close, Jax went with Heather to Carson’s penthouse. Since Jax was new in town,

“So Jax, you’re in charge of Dallas’s Generation Finance? Where is it based from?” Carson inquires as he hands Jax a tumbler of scotch,

“It’s based out of London. I’ve been there over these last few years training to be able run this branch when it opened up here in Dallas. I may have to travel back to London every so often.” Carson and Heather exchange glances,

“I have to travel back there in about 45 days for business.  I hope to take Dakota with me when I go.” Carson chuckles,

“Are you thinking that getting her out of the area to help her forget Caleb?” Jax gives him an evil grin,

“Yes,  I do! She’s beautiful. She needs to move on if it’s in her best interest to stay away from him, yes.”

Carson raising his tumbler towards Heather and Jax, “Let’s toast to the plan of Jax and Dakota coming together!” After the toast Jax speaks up,

“Thank you, Carson. I’ll let you know if I need any assistance.” Carson smiles as he claps Jax’s shoulder,
“My dear friend, keep your focus on Dakota and you should do fine.”

“I can do that! Did Caleb do anything to hurt Dakota?” Carson thought for a few moments before responding.

“I believe there was deception regarding a case Caleb knew about it. She learned about it, I believe that’s what led towards the break up.” Jax shakes his head,

“That’s really sad. I really like her and I won’t lie to her.” Heather comes up hugging her brother,

“He may have been good for her for awhile. But now she deserves better. She needs to be treated like a Queen.” Jax laughs,

“Caleb needs to get use to losing. I really want to let Dakota see that there’s no reason to go back to him. Is there anyway to get some dirt to have on him.”
Jax sets his tumbler of scotch down and heads to his room. There he pulls out his laptop to start research on Dakota and Caleb.

In the living room area, Heather looks at Carson, “Do you think that Jax can totally turn Dakota from Caleb? The reason I’m asking, is the way she was responding to conversations.” A first Carson seemed confused, then he smiles.

“She just seems hurt and very angry today. That didn’t surprise me at all. She blames me and her father for the break up.”

“Do you think Jax will be able to get through to her. She seems to be into this Dusty dude.” Carson pours himself scotch and Heather some wine,
