A Brother’s Deception.                                                                                                     Chapter 12, Away.

Around 5pm, there was a knock on Dakota’s office door,

“Come in.” Dakota’s eyes light up seeing Caleb walking in closing the door,

“Hello Kota, my Love. I’m so grateful for this meeting. I really needed to see you.” Dakota giggles, as Caleb hugs and kisses her softly on the lips.

“Why is that, may I ask?” Caleb gives Dakota a wolf eating grin,

“After seeing Jax kissing you, I felt you needed a kiss worth your time.” Dakota smiles as Caleb kisses her again, but deeply. When they pull away, they touch foreheads Dakota softly speaks.

“As much of I would love to stay here kissing you, we have a Board of Director’s meeting to get through. Caleb chuckles,

“Then let’s get the meeting over with.”
                                                                      They walked out of the office hand in hand in hand to the conference room. After everyone takes their seat and the minutes were read. Then they enjoy the food that was caters in, Mexican food.

As they were finish the dinner, they started discussing the issues at hand. So Caleb speaks up,

“Dakota,  isn’t there one more proposal that needs to be brought up?” Dakota clears her throat,

“Thank you Caleb. Members, there is a gentleman who has made a donation who is in finances. He has started volunteering with the children, and is doing well with them. He would like to use his expertise to assist us to help us use our funds more wisely.” Jacob clears his throat,

“What is his plan?” Dakota gives Jacob a small smile,

“He would like to go through our books, to see how our funds are being used.” Elaine looks to be very thoughtful for several moments,

“Do you have a question Elaine?” Dakota speaks earnestly,

“What is this man looking for about our funds?” Elaine asks with curiosity,

“This gentleman Jax Anderson has done this with agencies both small and large. What he’ll be looking for is what they call wasted funds.” Elaine looks puzzled,

“What are wasted funds, Dakota?” Caleb asks curiously,

“Wasted funds are funds that are used in one area, that should be in another area of use.” Jacob chimes in,

“How do you know they are wasted?” Caleb inquires,

“The funds sit in an account unused, where there might be an area where it could be useful. So we’ll need to be able use all of the funds.” Though looking serious, Caleb then smiles.

“That sounds efficient way to use funds.” Dakota taps her hand on the table,

“Does this need to be approved by the Board to proceed.” Caleb nods,

“All in favor?”

All: Aye!

“I’ll agree with one condition?” Jacob chimes in,

“What would that be, Jacob?” Dakota requests with curiosity,

“For all of you, please know that I’m a Certified Public Accountant. I’ll be able to understand what he desires to work with the numbers. I want to work with him.” Caleb chuckles,
