Dusty and Hope walked up to the table where Dakota and Caleb were sitting.

"Hello everyone. It's good to meet people who are important to Dakota. Welcome, I'm Demi." Demi exclaims as Dakota clears her throat,

"Mother, before I introduce everyone to you. I need to strongly encourage you not to mention them being here."
Demi smiles as she pats Dakota's arm,
"My dear girl, I have my own of secrets.. My regular Doctor/ Director is off this weekend and next week." Dakota beams a bright smile,

"Thanks mother. Let my favorite people introduce themselves." Demi smiles back,

"Caleb, we met earlier."

"Dusty. Nice to meet you. We spoke briefly on the phone when you first called Dakota."

"Hope and Dusty JR." Demi looked slightly confused,

"Dusty JR, my dear Hope?" Dakota smirks at her mother's question,

"She's pregnant mother. I guess she's hoping for a boy." Demi chuckles with joy,

"I know. I was very tickled at the way she said it." Everyone laughs then Demi speaks up,

"Alright everyone. How about we play UNO while we talk. I'll tell you why I'm here. I'll answer any questions you may have." Everyone nods as Dusty shuffles the cards, then dealing them to everyone.

"Everyone, please know I'm not proud of my actions." Dakota feels concerned for her mother, as Caleb speaks up.

"What kind of actions? I'm a attorney., I could try to help if you'll let me know." Demi swallows thickly,

"I got drunk one night, I got stupid by getting into my car. I was driving, and before I knew it I hit another car. We hit each other very hard." Tears fell out of Dakota and Hope's eyes,

"Please tell us the rest Demi." Caleb gently encourages her,

"The other driver had alcohol in their system, she died." Everyone stops for a few minutes, then resume.

"Demi, may I ask some hard questions? "Demi gives Caleb a sad nervous smile,

"Yes, please go ahead. Hope, draw two cards, and the color is red." Caleb clears his throat as he plays his hand,

"What were your charges?" Caleb asks curiously,

"I was charged with DUI and manslaughtered." Dakota closes her eyes as her heart breaks,

"They wanted ten years. What my attorney got three years here and seven years probation." Dakota felt anger boils up in her heart,

"Demi, who's your attorney?" Demi looks down with tears in her eyes,

"It's Carson Morgan. It's who Daren hired for me." Now Dakota rolls her eyes,

"Why weren't you at court Dakota?" Demi hisses, as tears fill Dakota's eyes.

"Mother, I knew nothing of all of this! Father never said anything, other than you were on a savatical out of the country." Shock fell over Demi's face,

"I had no idea. I'm so sorry for snapping at you." Dakota nods smiling,

"it's alright mother. There's been a lot of lies told to both of us. That's not your fault. How have you been otherwise?" Demi deals out the cards before responding,
