College student Julane Jones is a young half-demon who starts working for a human-underworld delivery service. She starts out only delivering packages to humans because of her mother's concerns. However, one day she is accidentally given a parcel to Hell. There, she meets a young man called Devlin, a runaway heir of one of the seven great devil kings. As half-human, her interaction with him threatens her mortality as an underworld folktale suggests hybrid human souls to be the most powerful and, hence, the biggest threat. Stuck in the underworld, she has no choice but to aid the heir to return to his family to guarantee her both a safe passage back home and her life as well.
