I woke up and sat up straight with tears falling down my cheeks.

"Hyung! Hyung! Jiwoo is awake!" I heard someone shout.

"Jiwoo, oh my good! Finally you're awake" my brother said hugging me and handing me a glass full of red liquid.
"Calm down, here drink this. You'll feel better" my mom said and I immediately took the glass and drank everything.
"Where- Where's Nicholas?" I said hoping that it was just a nightmare.
"He... Was murdered by his uncle... Don't you remember anything from yesterday?" My dad said.

"No! No he's not! He can't! He can't be dead!" I said screaming and crying.
"JI! JIWOO! HE'S GONE OKAY?! We're all hurt but we have to accept this!" My brother shouted at me in tears as well.
"Leave me alone, please"
"Sure daughter, but we will call doctor Byun so he can check you up after waking up ok?" My mom said caressing my head and giving me a kiss on the forehead, before everyone went out of the room.

This can't be real? How could it be?
This must be just a really bad joke.
He'll soon come here inside the room with his usual smile maybe bringing me a bouquet of purple lilac flowers.

I was just outside the room waiting for my parents to come back with doctor Byun while I heard all Jiwoo's thoughts.

I couldn't protect you guys properly.
If only I didn't freeze from fear yesterday night...
We'd all be here at the hospital only for your bite, Nicholas and his aunt would still be alive and Jake wouldn't be in a coma and you wouldn't hurt like this...

Soon mom and dad came back and with some of the guys.

"How is she?" Yeonkyu asked.
"Shocked... She's in denial right now" "The first thing she did when she woke up was shouting his name" Jungwon said as he was the one to tell us she got up.
He insisted on staying there with her til she woke up.

"You're finally awake, Ji" Sungyeon said hugging me.
"Sungyeon... They're lying right?! It was a dream! He's still here right?!"
In that moment her face changed and just hugged me.
"Jiwoo, he's g-gone... I know it's hard to understand, b-but please try to... Be strong... For him... And Aliya too"

"Where is he?!"
"He's still in the hospital, they told us to wait for you to wake up before going on for a funeral. I'll take you to the obituary after I do another quick check up on you" Doc Byun said coming back in the room.
"Please be quick"

It took only 5 minutes, as promised he walked me to the obituary and opened his cell for me. Behind us, also my parents, brother and friends were standing there. As soon as Euijoo's father uncovered his face, I broke down to tears.

After mr Byun uncovered his face, Jiwoo started sobbing loudly. It was the first time I saw my best friend this crashed and weak and needless to say that this broke us all too. Geonu went to her and hugged her as she cried on his chest. Soon she stopped sobbing and just started talking to his lifeless body with her shaky voice.

"Yah! Why did you leave me?! What about all your promises? Our plans for the future? You've promised me to take me to Taiwan and visit your parents... All the plans we made, our company, us traveling around the world. You said you'd stay by my side forever! Why did you break the most important of the promises we made?!"
"Uhm... Aunty, Aliya is here too" Kyungmin said and the girl went to her new adoptive mom.
Yes, Jiwoo's parents decided to adopt her so she could still be near Jiwoo and don't break their already sister-like bond.

"Sweetie, did you pack your things?" Aunty said hugging the girl with eye bags and puffy eyes.
"Can I see him?"
"Obviously you can, but are you sure you can take it?"
She nodded as she went close to the two siblings and her brother.
"Unnie..." she said hugging my best friend "Why them... Why again? Why not me?" She said sobbing hard.

"I'm so sorry Aliya. This is all my fault. Your uncle was aiming for me not your brother. I should've been the one to be shot dead. I should be the one laying here lifeless!" She shouted before falling down passing out due to the effects of the bite and the shock.
Geonu oppa and uncle brought her back in her room while aunty took Aliya away to get some fresh air. What about me and the boys?

Jungwon and Yeonkyu went to Jiwoo's room while Kyungmin and Taeyong went with me to Jake's room. Since he got hit on the shoulder and the fact that he wasn't immediately rushed to the hospital, he ended up in a coma. Euijoo's father said that he would wake up in around a month. Needless to say that the 02z were broken after the loss of their best friend and the momentary absence of another one.
