After the funeral, the whole friend group got a month off school to recover from the shock and trauma caused by that night. They'd often visit each other and hang out to cope together. Aliya during the month started going back to her bright personality and talking normally again, Jake was still in coma but the doctors said that he would be up in two weeks if not, another month.

As for Jiwoo, with the help of her friends and brother she started eating again and accepting what happened. Aliya would make sure to eat with her, Geonu would help by reminding her the medications and Sungyeon would accompany her to the hospital for her check ups and also to visit Jake, since her parents had to leave again for another business trip.

Soon their month off ended and they all had to go back to school and move in their dorms again.
"Ji are you ready?"
"Yeah Yeonkyu, I am"
"We're all here, ok?" Sungyeon added.
"Are you sure you can walk without those?"
"Yes, the doctor said that maybe I should hold onto someone from time to time but I can walk perfectly. My body recovered and adjusted from the bite perfectly"
"Ok"

"Jay hyung is still giving us a ride though" Jungwon said.
"Where's my brother?"
"Oh he's dropping off Aliya to school with the maknaes" Kyungmin answered.
"Oh ok, let's go then"
They went out and there was already Jay and Seon to pick them all up and drive them to school although it was just a 5 minutes drive.

Once inside the building, everyone's eyes were on the group of friends, whispering to each other. The students didn't know what happened and only rumors were going around. The most believed one was similar to the truth, but obviously they couldn't know that they were vampires that got shot by a wooden balustrade.

"Ignore them, Ji" my brother said who had an arm around my shoulder to help me walk.
"Oppa... I hear all their thoughts"
"I know it's a bit hard at first, but you'll be able to control it probably by the end of the day. For now focus on your music, so you won't have a headache"
"Hm ok"

"Thank you guys for walking us to class" Sungyeon said.
"No problem kids, now me, Hanbin and Seon better get to our building" K said.
"Bye hyungs"
We entered our classroom and obviously everyone started talking and staring at us, as if we were some sort of monsters...

Well we are, in a way...

"Do you need help?" Jungwon said lending me his arm as support.
"Thanks Wonie" and we walked to our sits in the back of the class.
"Welcome back to class guys, I missed y'all"
"Aw Junil! We missed you too" Sungyeon said.
"Why didn't you visit us?" Taeyong asked.
"Well, we were told not to by the principal"
"Hm I see" Kyungmin said.

"How have you been?" He said asking us girls since we were the most affected by this situation.
"I'm doing fine... I just miss him, but the doctors said he might wake up in 2 weeks"
"That's nice to hear. And you, Ji?"
"Well... Still hard to accept it"
"I can imagine. Here let me give you a hug, pretty sure you need one"
"Thanks Jun, you're the best"

The morning classes went by pretty fast and soon it was lunchtime. As planned by the oldies, we went outside in the garden of the school to eat lunch all together.
"Here, let me help you with your food" Heeseung said taking my tray since I was holding into Jungwon's arm once again for support.

"So, how were the first 4 periods?" Seon asked everyone.
"Pretty well if we ignore those annoying rats of our school mates talking shit about us" Yeonkyu said clearly annoyed.
"Why can't they just mind their own business?" Sunoo added.

We kept eating peacefully not until some of the previously mentioned rats came to interrupt us.
"You! You bitch! This is all your fault! If it wasn't for you Nicholas oppa would still be here! If I was there he'd probably be still alive! This is all your fault you fucking bitch! This is your fault Lee Jiwoo!" She started pulling me by the hair and her minions started throwing punches and kicking me.

"HEY STOP RIGHT THERE! STOP HURTING MY COUSIN" I heard Heeseung as he made his way through to stop Dawon from pulling my hair and I saw the other boys holding away her minions.
"YES! RUN AWAY COWARD! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAUL-"

*smack*

After running away few meters I turned around when I heard someone slapping someone else. Geonu slapped her face.
"Shut up if you don't want anything worse happening to you and your rat friends. Now let's go to the principal and let's make sure you leave my sister and her friends in peace from now on. I won't hesitate to hurt you if you lay a hand on her again"

"Ji! Why did you run! You're still too weak!" Sungyeon said as she immediately took my arm and supported me.
"Maybe it's better if we take her back at the dorms"
"Yes bring her home while we escort these girls at the principal's office"
"Go with them too Euijoo" our brothers said.
With that Sungyeon and I walked home as Jungwon and Euijoo followed behind carrying our bags.
