"Ten million?" The boy mouthed out loud to no one other then himself. With feeling such fear he probably honestly didn't even notice himself speak out loud.
"THE HIGHER RANKED STUDENTS ARE THE ONES TO AIM FOR...THIS SURVIVAL GAME IS A CHANCE FOR A COMEBACK. IT'S ANYONE'S GAME!!"
Everyone looked at the boy with a competitive look plastered onto their faces. Everyone was staring. Everyone including our class had their eyes on first place. I almost had took a step back from the tension placed in the crowd. It was dark and there faces were hidden with shadows, but I could still feel the vibes of them all wanting to go after Izu. I didn't even care for it like that to freak over such a thing, but yeah I guess they do want the pro heroes to chose them. There future does kinda depend on it.
Wait...
MY FUTURE DOES TOO!
I side eyed the boy wanting the ten million points as well. I did come in second place, but who knows what good that'll be for me.
"Those at the top will suffer more. You'll hear this many times as you attend U.A. This is what "Plus Ultra" means!"
That's one way to put it. Way to make it sound motivating for everyone.
"THE MATCH WILL LAST FIFTEEN MINUTES. EACH TEAM'S POINTS ARE DETERMINED BY THEIR MEMBERS. THE RIDER WILL WEAR A HEADBAND DISPLAYING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF POINTS! UNTIL THE MATCH ENDS, YOU'LL ALL COMPETE TO GRAB EACH OTHER'S POINTS AND MAINTAIN THE ONES YOU HAVE."
Midnight stood up on the platform, the screen above showing an example of how the game would go.
Game? Oh right this stuff isn't treated like a game. They take this stuff serious...
Looking over to the right of me, Izu, my freckles friend looked a little less frightened, determination plastered on his face.
Internally, I took a sigh of relief.
After that I practically already forgot the rules, I was quick to immediately start spacing out. I stood in space next to a few classmates of mine, slouched and not interested at all. Sure, we'd be able to use our Quirks. I didn't want to work with a team at all though. I practically groaned out loud. Surely they were only doing this so the heroes could see how we chose to communicate with other people. They could also use this to see how if we were in a situation where there was something going on and we needed to work with other heroes, they'd want to see how we work well with other people's quirks. This Sports Festival wasn't just about our fighting skills, but to see our communication skills, our smarts, and most importantly our will power.
"YOU'VE GOT FIFTH TEEN MINUTES! TIME TO FORM YOUR TEAMS!"
I snapped my head up, wrinkling my brows, and fixing my posture more straightening. Wow, I really hope no comes up to m...me...
Everyone quickly went there separate ways, onto finding someone they could team up with. It looks like it was easy for a lot of people to come up with teams. The area around me was practically deserted. I wasn't even in first place, but yet not a single person decided to come up to me. I glanced around as everyone already stood side by side forming as a team already.
Everyone was really actually crowded around Bakugou for some odd reason. There was a crowd circling him pleading to be part of his team. He just looked like a confused child in a grocery store who lost their mom.
I looked away trying to form a team of my own. This was gonna be hard. Who knew what was gonna happen if you didn't come up with a team.
I don't know anyone gahhhh I should partner with someone I kn-
