Delphi went to bed, confused by her father's words, Was he was having a meltdown and saying it just to be a bitch? Delphi's mother told her not to worry about her father going after Forrest because he's just being an overwhelmingly protective father. Delphi wanted her father to stop attempting to manipulate her or her mother. That morning, Delphi got ready for school by grabbing a blue shirt and gray skirt, and black Vans.

She went downstairs and her mother asked. "Why are you wearing your skirt that short?" Delphi replied, "I have bike shorts on Mom." Her mother gave her a nod while she got her toast. Delphi's father walked into the kitchen and when making eye contact with his wife, he'd get quiet unless she started a conversation with him. When Delphi walked out the door to get to her bus stop in suburban New York, her parents gave her a hug and waved goodbye. When she got to school, Forrest walked up to her and asked about her symptoms, she shook her head.

As they got to class, Delphi's friend, Annika told her that Forrest told her that Delphi could possibly be pregnant and Delphi nodded that it could potentially be true. Annika was shocked, she knew about Forrest and Delphi's relationship through her friend, Helena. After a period, Annika walked with Delphi to their next class. When they got to lunch, Helena sat with Delphi and they had a conversation about the baby Delphi is carrying. Helena knew what carrying a baby was like, for she had a 2-year-old daughter at 17.

Annika wanted Delphi to think about her and her baby's health, Delphi was very understanding and was happy that her friends were there for her. When school ended, Forrest drove Delphi home and kissed her before she went inside her house. Her parents were at work, so she stayed in her house and started doing homework and when her father got home and with sandwiches for dinner.
