Chapter 23

When they got home, Delphi felt drained and went to bed. Emmett got worried and went to go soothe her and she held him in her arms. Forrest walked in and smiled at them. Delphi's mother came home and was worried about Delphi and checked up on her. Forrest soothed her and reasoned with her that Delphi was fine. Her mother calmed down and he went to bed.

The next day, Delphi was so happy that it was the summer break, her father came down and the whole family including Forrest went to an amusement park and ran around, going on rides and having food. As they went around the park, Forrest pointed certain historical things out to Emmett and let him ride on his shoulders. After going around the whole park, they left and got dinner.

Emmett fell asleep and the rest of the family drove back home with takeout. After getting home, Delphi's parents decided to make up, and then they hugged each other. He then moved into the apartment next door and built a walkway between their apartments. Emmett then got his own room and his own playroom while Delphi and Forrest got their own bedroom and a nursery.

In her eighth month of pregnancy, Delphi realized that she had one more month and the babies would be born. Emmett became very excited and also very worried as to her excessive crying and mood swings. Her mother and father comforted her and Forrest obliged her at her every request. Delphi apologized for her behaviors and they all consoled her, telling her it was natural for these behaviors to happen.

While Delphi felt the pain of carrying two babies and was being careful about their safety, everybody helped out and Forrest stayed by her side the whole time. They had name ideas since they knew the genders, they decided to name them Kenji, after Forrest's uncle that he never got to meet. And Miyu, because she looked so beautiful on the ultrasound.
