When they got their food, Forrest and Delphi smiled at each other and began eating and talking to each other. However Delphi seemed a bit distracted and Forrest noticed this and checked up on her, Delphi apologized and internally cried. While the parents were talking, Delphi and Forrest excitedly went on and on about a book series they both enjoyed. This led to them arguing about ships and the various scenarios to show the romance in said ships.

Suddenly, his parents calmed the situation down and they calmed down. After a while, some man arrived and ran to Delphi and tried to seduce her but was shot down immediately by Forrest but instead of leaving her alone, he kept on badgering her and she was becoming uncomfortable, Her mother then slapped him and asked him to leave.

The man was upset by this and decided to call his friends and whined to them about Delphi's rejection. His friends dragged him out and apologized to them for his behavior and then they left. Just as they left, the man had the equivalent of a three-year-old temper tantrum and was dragged by his feet outside. Delphi sighed with relief that he was gone and Forrest did the same. For the rest of the evening, they talked and talked and their parents watched in content over their relationship.

When dinner was over, They went their respective ways and kissed before going. Delphi smiled and they both went home. Shortly after getting home, Delphi suddenly looked around to find a lost child at the complex and walked up to him, "Where are your parents, kid?" she asked. He shrugged, "I don't know" he responded. She took him in and gave him food and water. He started crying and she hugged him, making him feel comforted.

Her mother noticed this and saw how compassionate she was to others and how loving towards children. Eventually, the authorities got to their apartment and asked the boy some questions. Apparently, the boy's mom was a pornstar and she abandoned him to pursue her goals. Delphi was disgusted by this and asked her mother to adopt him, her mother agreed to take the boy in, he revealed his name to be Emmett and he was very shy about it.

When they brought his mother to court, she started arguing about how she didn't want him and before she got to complaining how her parents couldn't take care of him, Delphi yelled at her. Emmett hid behind Delphi's mother, being very afraid of his own mother. The judge noticed his mother's narcissistic behavior and terminated her parental rights and Delphi's mother officially adopted him. Emmett was so happy and hugged Delphi.
