"That was sweet," said Melanie, as they walked down the streets of the small town.
"It was," said Sebastian. He had his hands in his pockets and he looked at the sidewalk as he walked.
"Sorry the one girl thought —" he began.
"That's okay," stopped Melanie. "To be honest I didn't mind."
Sebastian smiled at her.
"So what do you want to do now?" she asked.
"Well I don't really want it to be over."
"Neither do I."
"I think I saw a park when I drove past," said Sebastian. "We could stop there."
"That's perfect."
As they walked, Melanie's phone buzzed in her pocket. She picked it up and clicked on the little notification that had popped up on her home screen.

"Macy, one of my friends in makeup," said Melanie, holding up her phone. She then put it back in her pocket.
"Was she asking you about this?" asked Sebastian.
"You guessed it," said Mel. "But I don't mind. She's one of my closest friends."
They got to the park and sat down on a bench near some trees, which had the dual purpose of shade and hiding them from any reporters or fans.
"So," said Melanie, turning to Sebastian.
"So," he repeated.
Melanie tried to think of a topic of conversation. But she didn't say anything. She only looked into his eyes, like she had done so many times before. Only this time it was different. She didn't have to put any makeup on him, no cgi dots on his face or look at him through the mirror or a TV screen. It was just him. Sebastian.
She was so caught up with watching him that she hadn't even realized he had been looking at her, too.
Sebastian adored Melanie. He loved the way her hair fell on her shoulders, the way she bounced up when her work was done. The way that her smile could light up a whole room. The way she looked when she was talking about something she loved. The way her eyes lit up.
He was so caught up with watching her that he hadn't even realized she was looking at him, too.
They weren't so far apart from each other on the bench. They seemed to glance into each other's eyes and think a thousand thoughts in one second, then smiled. Got closer. Leaned in. All in just a moment.
Their lips touched. His hands rose to caress her face.
When they came apart from the kiss, they were both smiling.
"I've been waiting for that moment," said Melanie.
"So have I," said Seb. "Probably since the day I met you."
