Melanie Fissaro loves, and has always loved, movies. She grew up in a isolated city in upstate New York, and the films she watched were her ventures into places unknown. Now, her life takes her all across the world, from New York to L.A., London to Paris. There probably aren't many places Melanie hasn't been.

"If anything, I would describe my life as eclectic," says Melanie. "I like to live one day to the next. There isn't a lot of organization and planning that goes into the things I do, but I like it that way." Melanie began working on movies when she was 21 years old, and has been in the industry ever since. "I really love [the film industry]. It's so welcoming, and there's always something new and exciting going on. Plus, It's where I met Sebastian."

Fissaro has been dating actor Sebastian Stan for a little over 4 years now, and the pair are deeply in love. They often post pictures together, or of each other, on movie sets, at premieres, and on dates. "I love being able to be with him, even at work. And it's always fun to be doing your boyfriend's makeup." Fissaro met Stan on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where they both developed crushes on each other. "I think we always liked each other as people. Our dates were really just two friends hanging out until it really turned into love," said Fissaro. "We didn't plan for it to happen, but things like that happen on their own."
In the studio, Melanie was a wonder. She felt comfortable in front of the camera and did her own makeup, which was a plus, too. As we asked her questions, she would often answer mid-pose. She did her thing, and photographer Tilly Harp enjoyed having her in front of the lens. "She just did her thing, and I liked that," said Harp. "Maria [our stylist] decided to dress her eclectically, and she loved it. She was a pleasure to be around."

Fissaro's next projects include Avengers: Endgame, which has recently wrapped filming and plans to release sometime next year. Her most recent project is Avengers: Infinity War, on which she assisted with outstanding makeup, prosthetics, and hair production. "I love doing makeup, and I plan to keep going," she said. "It's amazing just to get to be on a set like that." Melanie Fissaro is an inspiration in the makeup industry, and a self-made successful woman— her romance with Sebastian Stan is only one part of her, and we are glad that she is able to live out her dreams in the industry and beyond.
