"Mmm, Mel— Melanie!" laughed Sebastian, as his girlfriend pushed him back onto the couch, kissing him fiercely.
"Let's just stay here," she whispered.
"Oh, I wish," he said. She got up off him and sat on his lap. "I wish I could take that pretty dress right off you. But I have something waiting for us."
"Okay then," she said. "Show me."
"Come on!" he said. He grabbed her hand immediately and pulled her out of his apartment. He began running down the hall, pulling her with him.
"Sebastian!" she giggled. She held his hand and ran along with him. "Where is it we're going that it was so important we had to stop the makeout session?"
Sebastian laughed. "I'm not telling. You're gonna love it though, you are!"
They got outside the building and ran across the street. Now they were walking at a normal pace toward Central Park. Sebastian crossed the street and went into the park, Melanie's hand still in his.
He jogged toward a tree arched perfectly for shade where he had a picnic beautifully set up on a red and white checkered blanket.
"Ta-da!" he said, throwing his arms wide.
"Sebastian!" she exclaimed. "Oh my God, I love it," she said. She gave him a peck on the lips.
"C'mon, sit," he said, gesturing to the blanket.
"What's this for?" she said, taking a seat. "All the sudden?"
"I have something to tell you," he said excitedly. She could see he was bouncing a little.
"With all this? Well hurry and say it Seb, I wont be able to wait much longer."
"Okay. The producer was actually going to email you about this, because he saw your work, and he was talking to me, because you know, we're publicly affiliated and all that, and I—"
"Sebastian!"
"Right, right. Okay, the point— Simon Kinberg wants you to be my makeup artist on The Martian."
"They— The Martian?" exclaimed Melanie. "As in that Ridley Scott movie you got a role in?"
"Yes!" he replied.
"Oh my God! " Melanie stood up from excitement, and Sebastian followed. She hugged him tightly. "Sebastian, that's so... Oh my God!"
"And there's more, Mel— Marvel assumed I'd want to tell you this, so I agreed— they want you to be assistant head of hair and makeup on the new Avengers film."
"They what?!"
"Yeah!"
"Sebastian!"
"Melanie!"
"Oh my God!"
She kissed him fiercely on the lips. They spun romantically.
"Mel, you're so amazing," he said to her. "Everyone knows it. You're so amazing."
"You've said," she smiled. "But so are you, Sebastian! You did all this, for me. And look at you go, you got hired on a Ridley Scott movie! That's amazing, Sebastian!"
"You're both amazing, give it up," said a third person's voice. A man's voice— deep. Sebastian and Melanie turned to see the friendly face of Chris Evans, taking a second earbud out of his ear. It seemed like he had been out for a walk in the park.
"Chris?" said Sebastian.
"Surprise," he said.
Chris and Sebastian hugged, patting each other on the back. He and Mel did the same.
