"Sebastian," half-whispered Melanie, walking into the door of their hotel room at 11:45 at night. Sebastian was in bed, watching TV. He had the blankets covering him and was laying down in their bed, all cozy.
"Hi, Mel," he said. She dropped her purse onto their kitchen's table and walked over to the part of the room where the bed was. "How was it?" he asked her.
"Good," she said, getting onto the bed. "Hey, how awake are you? Are you tired?"
"I'm fine," he said suspiciously. "Why...?"
Melanie smiled. "You know why," she implied.
"You're very drunk," he said.
"Correct."
"You need sleep."
"I need you," she said, pushing herself onto him and giving him a kiss. Sebastian hadn't been wearing a shirt in the first place—she didn't need to take it off.
"Melanie," he mumbled. He let her kiss him hard and push him onto the bed.
"They wanted me to marry you," she said quietly. She kissed him again and again, all down his neck.
"Mm." Sebastian didn't get a chance to reply— he didn't even really get to think about the question.
"Would you marry me?" she asked him, still mumbling into their kisses. She didn't get his answer until a minute later.
"I would do anything for you," he whispered, his voice hoarse.
Melanie giggled a little. "Anything?" she whispered seductively.
Sebastian smiled, and pushed her over again so that he was on top of her. He began taking her dress off.
"Anything," he repeated.

Melanie remembered barely anything of the previous night when she woke up in the morning. It was much too bright in the room for her, even with the curtains closed. She was cold and had a headache. Sebastian, next to her, was just waking up. He turned to her and smiled.
"How was your night?" he said, a cheeky smile on his face.
"I don't really remember," chuckled Melanie. She was sure she looked very tired. "I've definitely got hangover, though, so it was probably a long night."
"Aw," he said.
"Yeah. I've got this splitting headache."
"Let me go and get you something," said Sebastian, getting up out of the bed. He saw that she was sensitive to light and closed the curtains further, then went to his bag and took out some aspirin. He handed her two tablets and a cup of water. Melanie sat up and took the pills.
"Thank you," she said.
"Of course," smiled Sebastian. He began to turn back around to grab his shirt, but then stopped in his tracks, remembering something about the previous night.
She had asked if he would ever marry her. And he hadn't been drunk that night. He remembered it very clearly. He had said that he would do anything for her. And he would. It wasn't a lie. He would marry her. But he wondered if she remembered. Because just maybe, he wasn't really ready for that. They loved each other, yes. They knew it. They'd confessed it. But marriage? Sebastian wasn't sure. He almost thought it... scary.
"Hey..." Seb began, turning back to face her on the bed. "Do you remember... anything we said last night?"
Melanie smiled drowsily. "No," she said. "Do I want to?"
Sebastian laughed a little, trying to mask his relief. "No," he said with a smile. "No, not really."
"Drunk me says some stuff sometimes," said Melanie.
"Oh, you don't know the half of it."
