Melanie sat on her hotel room bed at 6:00.  Work had been over for half an hour now, and she finally got her time to relax.  That was until the phone rang.

The selfie of them both and the name "Seb :)" came up on her iPhone screen.  She smiled at it, then slid to answer the call, and paused her movie.

"Hi," she answered.

"Hi," Seb said back.  "What are you doing?"

"Me?  I'm watching a movie," she said cheekily.

"Oh no," said Sebastian.  "What movie? Or do I not want to know?"

"It's just the first Captain America," Mel replied.  "Since we're shooting that forties scene tomorrow, I'm studying your look, taking notes.  You know, since I didn't do the makeup for that one."

"And what exactly do your notes say?" he asked, a hint of a smile in his voice.

Melanie looked down at the short list.

"Word for word?"

"Mhm."

"Oh, okay.  Um, I have... hair gel, slicked back, side part, highlight cheekbones, slight contour, and — um — Seb looks really good in forties clothes."

She heard him laugh from the other end of the line.

"Well then, stay on set tomorrow," he said.  "You sure you're watching it purely for research purposes?"

"I'm also watching it for Chris," she said.  "I mean, all that CGI is hilarious.  I'm so not used to that.    And he also looks really amazing in the Captain America suit.  Can't wait to see that one again."  She only said those just to annoy Seb.

"Mhmm," he replied, not amused.  "But he's not in your notes.  I'm special."

"I'm kidding," she said.  "Anyway, why'd you call?"

"I was wondering, do you want to go to dinner?  Or did you already eat?"

"I ate," she told him.  "But we could always go for something light," she said.  "There's a really nice place a couple of streets away."

"I'll see you in a little while, then.  Ten minutes?"

Mel looked down at her pajamas, and into the mirror across from her bed at her messy hair.

"Um, how's 6:30?" she asked.

"Fine," he said. "See you soon."

"Bye," she said, then pressing the red button and hearing the short beep from the other end.

She quickly bounced out of her bed and went into her closet, searching for something to wear.  Mel slipped out of her pajamas and pulled a dress on -- one she had never actually had the chance to wear, even though she'd bought it almost two years ago.  She was actually hoping to wear it to the premiere.  Though, she didn't even know if she was invited to the premiere. So she wore it tonight.

She slipped her hair into a neat ponytail and fixed up her makeup.  Finally, she slipped on flats, grabbed her purse and car keys, and walked out the door to her car.

"Hi," she said to Sebastian as she arrived.  He was sitting at the bar, waiting.

"Hi," he said.  "How are you?"

"Good," she said.  "You?"

"Great," he said.  He looked her up and down as she took a seat.  "You look amazing."

"Thank you," she said.  "So do you."

They talked all through the night.  Melanie could listen to him talk forever.  She thought about it, deep in her mind, when she looked into his gray-blue eyes as he talked — she wanted him.  Really wanted him.  To be hers.  Just hers.  Even if she hadn't given it any real thought.  When the question came up, she'd know.
