Hello.

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

Monday morning was an interesting change for me. We were in a large gym-like facility, supposed to be studying each other's quirks. I stood idly at the back of the class crowded around Aizawa as he explained how this class would run. Everyone was wearing a gym uniform, but I knew that all of them had hero outfits provided to them. I wondered if I would be given the chance to design a costume. Maybe the people in the costume design course were more open than most of the school was appearing to be.

"I'll partner you up and you'll provide ways to better utilize the other person's quirk," he stated. "Having another person's perspective can always help."

There was an odd number of us now that I was here, so I weirdly hoped that I would be forced to sit out on this activity. I shouldn't be using my quirk around here, should I? I guess I could, per their rules and Aizawa was here to watch me.

"(y/n) and..."

I swear everyone's shoulders tensed.

"Kaminari," Aizawa announced. I glanced around as many shoulders sank, seeing that a bright blonde kid was looking at me. I assumed that was him, hopefully. Aizawa separated us all and then called for us to start. The blonde kid, indeed walked in my direction, offering a smile to me.

"Hey, I'm Kaminari," he greeted.

"(y/n)."

"Okay, so you want to start out with my quirk?" he asked. He didn't seem all too scared or anything. I didn't know this person's normal, so how would I know besides the lack of telltale nervous signs. I watched as he distractedly glanced in the direction of a girl with short purple hair, flashing her a face to which she rolled her eyes. Oh...so that was his personality. There were tons of guys like this at the bar, I was used to guys like that hitting on me. The age gap obviously disgusted me but it was evident that the villains didn't really seem to care--at least these specific ones. I braced for impact.

"Sure."

"Cool, so my quirk is called electricity. Pretty self explanatory. Too much and I kind of short circuit," he explained quickly. I paused, realizing that I had gotten a little too comfortable or familiar in that moment, letting myself believe that he would hit on me. Obviously...he wouldn't.

"Oh...well if there's water or metal that conducts electricity," I stated. He just nodded. "Uh...what happens when you short circuit?"

"I go kind of dumb until I can charge myself up."

"Ever...consider battery packs?" I asked. He paused, glancing my way. I leaned back slightly, not knowing what his reaction was going to be currently.

"No. I actually hadn't thought of that," he admitted and I just nodded. The look on his face insinuated that he was making a mental note of things. "Right, so what's your quirk?"

It had suddenly hit me that people here were scared of me but didn't even know what my quirk was. I was just some crazy villain's kid covered in nasty stitches. The reveal of my quirk obviously wouldn't bode well for me.

"I can produce...'creepy crawlies' out of these stitches or like...my mouth," I reluctantly admitted.

"Creepy crawlies?"

"You know like...bugs, snakes, lizards, frogs," I explained. I could see his eyes shift to the visible stitch on my neck.

"Uh...I'm stuck," he stated.

"I can control them," I offered. "I don't just like...throw up spiders just because."

I watched Kaminari snort ever so slightly, placing a hand over his mouth. I watched carefully, very aware that I had made him laugh. It was intriguing and I hoped this was some kind of progress.
