The first thing I felt when I started gaining consciousness was pain. The worst pain just all over my body.
A little later, I started hearing voices but I couldn't identify them at first because they sounded very distant, along with a beeping that I later recognized as a heart monitor.
As my hearing became clearer, I could hear someone pacing back. I wanted to let them know that I'm here but I couldn't open my eyes or move at all.
I finally manage to groan and the pacing stops.
"Bruce!" I hear Natasha yell, so I assume that she was the one in here the whole time.
I hear a couple of people rush inside and Natasha was explaining to them that she heard me.
I feel someone touch my chest and I groan again, but this time it was because of the pain.
"Kate, can you hear me?" Natasha asks and I slightly nod my head as I open my eyes
"Welcome back" she says, smiling
"My... jacket" I manage to say as Banner is checking me
"What?" she asks
"My room... Get me my jacket" I say again
"Now" I add with a groan.
"Ok, ok" she says and runs to get it
It is so painful to even breathe right now.
She comes back with it
"Right pocket. There should be--" I was saying but I start coughing
"Kate, I need you to wear your oxygen mask" Bruce says but I ignore him
"There are marbles in here" Nat says as she is searching the pocket that I told her
"The purple" I say, opening my hand.
She gives me one of the two purple ones and I hold it on my chest.
"You might want to take a step back" I suggest to them and I close my eyes.
As I whisper the spell, the marble dissolves into my chest and a wave of purple magic goes through my entire body.
I let out a breath of relief as all the pain fades away. I look at Natasha and Bruce who are frozen at the other side of the room.
"It was just a spell" I say as I sit up
"Woah, ok. Wait, where do you think you're going?" Bruce asks
"I'm fine, really" I reassure him as I take my IV out
"No, you are not. Your body is shutting down, your organs are shutting down one by one" he explains
"I know. But I just reversed it so I'm good to go" I say
"You know?" he asks
"Yeah, it's a long story. For how long was I out?" I ask
"Three days. You were actually sedated until this morning" Natasha answers
"Crap. If I hadn't woken up--" I was saying as Thor walked in
"Katelyn! You're awake!" he says almost excited
"Yes, and I'm more than ready to leave this room" I say
"Loki will be so happy to hear that" he says and I freeze
"Loki? He was asking for me?" I ask
"I kept him updated, yes" he answers
"Really? Um... Ok. Can we have the room please?" I request
Natasha and Banner go out and Thor closes the door
"Did Loki say anything new?" I ask
