Another cough escapes my lips and his smile falls. "I'm sure you have some secret spell handy to heal your more important problems" he says giving me the Tesseract
"Are you really giving this to me?" I ask shocked.
Before he could answer, someone made a hole in the ceiling, causing us to back up as heavy pieces fell.
I leaned down, covering my head and closed my eyes because of the dust. But I felt Loki's chest against my back and his hands on my head over mine.
When I opened my eyes, I realize that he basically shielded me with his body.
"Are you ok?" he asks as we stand up straight again
"I think so" I answer.
Stark flies in from the hole in the ceiling "You could have made it much quieter" I say
"Yeah but this is more fun" he says.
We got the important things from the lab and he helped us cross the people that were waiting for us. Eventually, we got to one of the jets and he took us to the tower.
"I see you've made changes" Loki says as we walk in
"I figured I needed a renovation after your planned for dominance failed" Stark answer "There are rooms ready, Jarvis will show you the way. Now excuse me, I'm gonna go finish my drink" he adds and leaves.
Then I see Fury coming towards us "I know that he is... troubled but I took a tactical decision and he actually helped" I explain before he could say anything
"I did quite well actually" Loki adds
"You're not helping. He helped and he can help again in case they come back" I explain
"And what if he goes rogue? Again?" Fury asks
"Then I'll put a knife in his heart" I say
"How romantic..." Loki says
"Shut up" I say to him.

We go to the next room and lock the door. "You know that he has probably his ear to the wall right now, right?" I ask
"The walls are completely soundproof" he answers and I nod. "You're not seriously asking me to trust him" he says

"He killed over 80 people" he says
"He was mind-controlled, tortured and poisoned with promises of power" I say
"And you're telling me this now, Steel?" he asks furiously
"I know, I wanted to have the full picture before talking to you. But if we keep him close that way, he may have more to give us" I insist.
