(lol guys im back and im going to disappear again, enjoy!)
Soobin squatted down in the middle of the kitchen, eyebrows furrowed in deep thought as he bit his lip. His eyes traveled over the contents of the room.
His mother's untouched body.
The red liquid soaked rags.
Blood seeping through the cracks of the ceramic floor.
An overturned glass flask, a centimetre deep of clear liquid stagnant within it.
The overturned cups and utensils on the floor, mixed with dirt and blood.
His friends tiptoeing around the mess.
Over and over, his eyes roamed over them. Yet, it was the sense of uneasiness and lack of security despite the house being secure that made Soobin sick. How could this be? The windows are locked tight and the doors haven't been opened since his mom came back.
But he could feel it. From the skin to the tip of his hair, that there was another presence in this house. Weird to the say the least as there was no other sound that could be detected. Perhaps a slight waver in the scent lingering in the air. Or maybe a whisper from the walls? A soft thud on the ceiling?
"Hey w-"
Soobin slapped the hand that landed on shoulder away with such ferocity, the person staggered backwards. The crouched boy looked up at the face, eyebrows furrowed and observing before the shadowed face gave way to Ravn's worried eyes.
"Shit, I'm sorry,"
"Nono, it's fine," Ravn gave a warm smile, before awkwardly standing there and fiddling with the hem of his jacket. "Are you ok? You seem like you're sick."
Soobin blinked and looked back down at the mess on the ground. "I don't really know hyung. I don't really know what to say. Sorry about that."
"Nothing to be sorry about," Ravn replied, moving forward to pat Soobin's shoulders but stopped short and pulled back.
"I just," Soobin sighed as he placed his palms on his knees and heaved himself up, his bones aching from crouching so long. He looked at his senior briefly before turning and walking back towards the stairs. "I just feel like i don't belong here. It feels weird, like I'm not really here."
Ravn cocked his head to the side and didn't really reply as Soobin walked up the stairs and disappeared from the bloody room.
Upstairs, Soobin slouched and stumbled into his own bedroom, which had the contents of his friends' flung around and the bedsheets messed up. He wasn't going to deny it, he felt like shit. Something felt missing within him, which made him think back about Yeonjun.
He placed his head in his hands and slumped on the bed. Wasn't he suppose to be meeting some important people to justify that he should be left alive? But he was alive here so it doesn't matter if he died there....?
Soobin still couldn't wrap his head around the aspects of the spirit realm and promptly decided he'll sleep it out. Perhaps the solution or answers will come with I'm rested, he mindlessly thought as he curled up on the sheets.
With the sound of creaking footsteps, drowned out voices and dripping water within the hollow house, Soobin drifted off into a deep sleep.
