Kumkani: "Let's go." He abruptly announced.
Me: "Go to where?" It was the next day, in the afternoon. I just finished the lunch he made me.
Kumkani: "To your parents' house."
Me: "W-w-what? Why?" I asked in a panicked shock... "you're taking me home? Are you leaving already?"
Kumkani: "No beautiful."
Me: "Then why are you taking me to my parents'?"
Kumkani: "This is the condition they gave me in order for you to stay here. That I take you to see them everyday." Really? Oh wow! My panicked heart settled down a bit. At least it wasn't for the reason I was most terrified of.
Me: "I knew that there had to be conditions for me to stay here." I said to him... "what else?" He said nothing. I sighed... "okay let's go." And we were off.

We were now at my parents' house. It has almost been a half an hour since we've arrived here. My mother had pulled me aside the second we entered the house with the king. She had bombarded me with question after question about the king. Some of the questions she asked me, I couldn't answer them. I mean, I knew close to nothing about the king. Most of the questions though, were basically about how his treatment was towards me. I told her not to worry, that the king treated me very well. But she seemed to get more worried when I said that. And a little scared even. I understood all that she felt, I mean it was a normal thing for a parent to be worried and scared for their child. And in my case, all that worry and fear that she was felt was tripled. I got it. But it was what it was. I'm sure it had been my father who had convinced her to let me stay with the king. My father seemed fine with this whole arrangement even though I could see that he was a little wary of the king. We were now sitting on one of the counters chairs at kitchen when Anga entered with two police officers following toe behind him. He had a cast on his arm. So the king had really broken his arm. Yeesh!
Anga: "That's the guy that assaulted me." He said pointing to the king... "arrest him." What? The police officers came forward to hand cuff the king.
Me: "Anga are you crazy?" I shouted... "what are you doing?"
Anga: "He assaulted a police officer of the law K. He needs to be punished." He told me. The king didn't fight them as they cuffed him and read him his rights... "you see I told you I would get your ass arrested." He said to the king. But the king said nothing. The way he was so unbothered and cool, it was like he had known that this would happen. On the other side, I wasn't fine. I was scared and panicked. The king couldn't get arrested bethu! No.
Father: "This is not necessary Anga. You didn't need to take it this far."
Anga: "With all due respect Tata, I had to. You guys trust this guy too much. A guy that no one knows nothing about. Well, I'm going to find out all about him and I will do that by making this arrest first." He said... "take him away boys." He said to the police officers. He was crazy!
Me: "Anga stop this. This is crazy! Tell them to un-cuff him now." I shouted as I tried to make a grab for the king's arm but I was pushed back by Anga and my back to got spiked hard by the corner of the counter. I couldn't stop the cry of pain that came out of me. And what happened next after that would always be forged in my mind. I don't know how but suddenly the king had Anga down to the ground with his foot pressed down on his neck and his gun pointed to him. Cuffs and all. No joke. I hadn't even known that all this time he had a gun on him. I didn't even know how he did what he did, but the current situation was like that now, which caused the the other 2 police officers to pull out their guns and point them at him. My mother screamed.
Kumkani: "I have no problem with going with you to the station." He told him... "but when you hurt what's mine, then that's when we have a problem. A huge one." He said in that scary voice of his... "never hurt what's mine. You hear?" Even as the police officers yelled at him to put his gun down and let Anga go, he didn't budge at all. Instead he pressed his foot down harder on Anga's neck causing him to make unpleasant choking sounds. Even as he tried to fight the king's foot off from his neck, he couldn't. He wasn't strong enough... "you hear me?" Anga nodded vehemently tapping the king's foot. Only when the king was satisfied, did he remove his foot from his neck. He let his gun hang loose in his hand and gave it to one of the police officer's who took it hesitantly with their guns still raised and pointed at him. But their guns were like nothing to him. He was so cool and composed like nothing was happening. Like he hadn't just done what he did to Anga, who was currently coughing up a storm on the floor. I was speechless bethu! My mouth was hanging opened during this whole time that this was happening... "beautiful are you fine?"
Me: "Yes." I heard myself saying.
Kumkani: "You sure?" I nodded trying to make sense of what just happened... "let me see where you hit your back against that counter." He ordered. Lendoda bethuna! That's what he was worried about? And how was he so calm like this? I mean, he was being arrested right now. Wasn't he scared, because I was.
Me: "I'm fine. Don't worry." Even though my back stung a bit with pain, it wasn't a train smash. He scanned my face to see the truth of what I was saying and then he nodded satisfied. My father helped Anga to his feet. He was snarling at the king while holding onto his neck.
Anga: "You'll pay for this one also you motherfucker." He spat. The king said nothing to him... "I see you think that you're something important but you're not. You're going down tough guy and I'll make sure of it."
Kumkani: "You're done?" Gosh!
Anga: "Let's fucking get him out of here." He barked to the other police officers.
Me: "No please-."
Kumkani: "I'll be back beautiful. Wait for me." I shook my head.
Me: "No Anga please let him go-."
Kumkani: "Beautiful look at me." I did as he ordered... "I'll be back. Trust." I nodded even though I was terrified for him.
Anga: "Cute and touching but you're not coming back." He said pushing the king forward. I was going to follow them out but my father held me back.
Me: "Tata-."
Father: "He'll be fine."
Me: "How do you know that?" He sighed.
Father: "Just do." I swallowed with my heart stuck in my throat. Damn Anga! What was his problem kakade?! I was never going to forgive him for this.
