Tauriel and Legolas were reporting to Thranduil about their Dwarf prisoners.
"They told us that they started in Hobbiton, in a land called the Shire," Tauriel said.
"Then they told us that they'd gone to Rivendell before getting themselves into a Goblin cave..." Legolas tried to continue.
"Where did they go?" Thranduil interrupted his son.
"Rivendell."
Thranduil turned around and began to walk off.
"Ada, where are you going?" Legolas asked.
"I'm going to Rivendell," Thranduil answered. He couldn't believe that Elrond would send Dwarves in Mirkwood's direction.
"Why?" Legolas asked, again. "Lord Elrond hates you."
Thranduil kept walking, "Shut up, Legolas. I do what I want."
Tauriel and Legolas let him go. They watching in confused silence at the King's attitude. Why was he always like that? The world may never know.
