Legolas stood in front of his mirror. He was almost finished. It had taken him a while to get his hair brushed and parted just right. And it had taken a good while to get his side braids right. But now all he had left to do was the final braid that sat at the back of his head. Just as he began, there was a knock at his door.
"Legolas are you done yet?" It was Aragorn. "It's been forty-five minutes."
"Not yet," Legolas called back. He was halfway done with the braid.
"Legolas we got shit to do!"
"One more braid!" Legolas heard Aragorn grumbling. "I don't just wake up with fabulous hair, Aragorn, beauty takes time!"
Legolas finished the braid and stalked to his door. Aragorn was standing on the other side. Legolas grabbed the Man and kissed him. Aragorn startled at the Elf's actions. Legolas pulled away and looked Aragorn in the eye.
"Now let's get our 'shit' done before someone else starts whining that it's taking too long."
But Aragorn couldn't move and couldn't care less about being late anymore.
