(A/N: sorry it took soooooo long.)
The group of five in Kevin's car stopped at a gas station and they all got out. The cool winter air pressed against their skin as Ben spoke up.
"Something doesn't feel right about this situation," Ben said.
"Yeah," Kevin agreed, "Starting with that crazy biker girlfriend of yours."
"I told you, she's not my girlfriend!" Ben exclaimed, "We were friends a few years ago because we were on the same soccer team."
"Her story doesn't add up Ben," Gwen said, "Why would she be dealing illegal tech to find the Plumbers if her dad used to be one?"
"She said something happened to her dad when they lived here and we weren't told about it," Ben said, "And if that's the case, Grandpa Max has some series explaining to do."
Ben opened the door to the station and the others followed without saying a word. They walked past a large man named Ed who was giving someone a breakdown of what needed to be fixed.
"Hey Ed," Kevin said.
"Sup," The large man responded.
They walked towards the back of the shop, but they paused when a girl's voice called out to Ben.
"Hey Ben," She said cheerily, "Are you still able to come to the game today?"
"I don't know Julie," Ben said quickly, "I've got a lot of homework."
They pulled on a wrench and an elevator appeared. Julie looked disappointed by Ben's answer and Kevin quipped, "You know Ben. All work and no play."
He had a can of soda and a slice of pizza which he was eating somewhat messily as the doors closed.
"I don't know what you see in him," Ben commented to Gwen as Kevin burped.
A few seconds later, the elevator stopped and the group walked into a dark room with massive computer screens on the high-up walls.
"Systems up," Ben called out.
The computer screens lit up green displaying information from around the world.
"Good evening Ben, now commencing news scan."
The five walked to the center of the room where all their equipment was. Ben flipped open a plexiglass guard on a scanner and placed the chip inside. He tapped on a nearby touchscreen and initiated the scan.
"Do you guys have any idea what these things are?" Gwen asked Rin and Albedo, "You guys referenced a planet named M8."
"Yeah," Rin said, "There was a mad scientist type named Dr. Myuu. He was obsessed with returning his near-extinct race, the Tsufurians to prominence. He had millions of bio-mechanical machine mutants that he dubbed Neo-Tsufurians to aid his research and collect test subjects."
"Test subjects for what?" Gwen asked.
"He was trying to revive the Tsufurian King in the form of a malleable parasitic organism named Project Baby. It could exponentially boost someone's capabilities when they became his host and when he left he would take all the power with him and bestow it upon his next host. Whenever he would infect someone, he would possess their bodies and force their consciousness into the brain's reward center and keep them happy so they wouldn't fight back."
Everyone was paying attention now and Rin continued.
"Myuu had ten research planets named planet M1 through planet M10, various facilities were housed on each planet with each planet being devoted to a specific project, on Planet M8 he developed near sentient bio-organic nano-chips that functioned like an insect colony and were silicon-based. The chips became fully sentient and attempted a revolt that failed horribly. Leaving only the Baby Project which was housed on Planet M2 and was destroyed along with the planet when an intergalactic council found out about the artificial planets and their experiments."
