"Yes." I said, I had never danced before. At least not as a devil.

I was indescribably happy, everything was going right for me.

I was with Hayakawa, he was going to dance with me.

He was holding my hand.

I followed sheepishly after Hayakawa, he still didn't let go.

He stood in front of me, placing his hands on my hips. He placed my other hand on his shoulder.

I had seen this in a movie before, this was a waltz dance.

"Sorry if I step on your toes." I mumbled, my cheeks were doing that weird thing again.

Sometimes they were warm, other times they were red, or both. I wondered if there was red on my face. There seemed to be none on Hayakawa.

"It's fine, this is your first time after all." Aki muttered.

It only hit me now that he had somehow magically grown back his arm.

"I didn't know you could regenerate." I said, glancing at Aki's arm.

He just laughed at me, leaving me feeling more sheepish.

"It's a prosthetic."

"Huh?"

"It's fake." He said, I nodded, beginning to grasp the idea now.

I slowly began to lose myself in the music, I was focusing on my feet a lot.

If I didn't then I'd step on Aki.

"There you go, you're getting it." He said, I smiled, giving him a reassuring nod.

"I love this song." I said, smiling at the familiar beat rang through the hall.

I rested my head on Aki's shoulder, it was so familiar to me now.

We swayed back and forth, sometimes messing up here and there.

I liked dancing with Hayakawa.

His hands remained on my waist, mine were around his neck.

"Ow." Aki said

"Sorry." I mumbled.

Hayakawa just laughed again.

"We're such sloppy dancers. I bet we look hilarious." He said, I sighed, he had a point.

"No, we look like gods. Nothing can touch us." I said, I was sounding like Power again. Her ways of superiority were rubbing off on me.

"Ow."

"Sorry."  Aki mumbled.

"What were you saying about being gods." He added, he was messing with me again.

A new song came on, melting away my surroundings.

The hall had disappeared, instead replaced with stars and the sky.

It was only Hayakawa and I.

For some reason I felt really excited.

The song made me feel a melted, it was a beautiful song.

We returned to reality at its end, every once in a while we would be transported, depending on what the DJ played.

My heart was beating so fast, and my eyes travelled all over the room.

I began to open my mouth, I was going to utter strange words. Strange and unknown words.

"I love you Aki." I said.

"What was that." He muttered, the music was so loud, he didn't hear it.

"Nothing." I said quickly.

I wanted to tell him, I wanted him to know.

But love was something greater than what we had. Was he even in love?

I couldn't handle being rejected from love. I was thankful that he didn't hear me say those words.

"Let's get something to eat." I said, gesturing for the snack bar.

Denji and Power were there, they were cruel tyrants and didn't allow anyone to take from their kingdom of horderves.

"Cut it out you two." Aki shouted, he chased the two away from the table.

"Oh it's fine Hayakawa, their just having fun." A calm voice said.

Makima smiled, her eyes staring into Aki's.

Aki nodded, listening obediently to the woman's words.

I reached for the dango now that the snacks were free.

"About the thing, yknow, the birthday thing." Hayakawa whispered, he was awfully close to me.

"Yeah." I said, my cheeks were red now.

"It can be made a possibility, after the dance." Aki said.

I nodded, stuffing my face full.

We returned to dancing shortly after that.
