№44|Black Ruins Part 2
>───⇌••⇋───<

“We’re going to need some privacy,” Silvia said, noticing the bedroom down the hall. “Wayne, handle Soren and make sure he doesn’t escape. Raelyn, Charles, Miriana, and I will be busy for a while. See if you can get anything out of him.”

Charles growled, punching his fist into this palm at the thought of torturing the man.

“Don't you dare…” Miriana clenched his hand. “Please… please just stay with me.”

As much as his dragon wanted to beat Soren to a bloody pulp, he nodded and carried Miriana to the bedroom. He snarled at Soren as they made their way past him. His growl deepened when the smell of his mate mixed with Soren’s, filling the sheets of the bed he laid her on.

He sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to stroke her hair. “You’re so strong,” he whispered into her lips, “so strong.”

Miriana smiled weakly. When the black ruins flashed, she groaned. “Get these off of me!” she screamed, arching her back in pain.

“Charles, distract her,” Raelyn whispered to the dragon as she and Silvia kneeled beside Miriana. “Alright, look at me.” Raelyn turned Miriana’s face towards her. “This… this is going to be painful, very painful. It’s going to hurt for a while, but you’ll be back with your dragon soon. After this, you both will be free to mate all around the ship. Doesn’t that sound great?”

Miriana whimpered and nodded at the witches. “Ye-Yeah… that sounds wonderful.”

“Good… now just leave this to Raelyn and me. You talk with your dragon. I’m sure you two missed each other.” Silvia smiled and kissed her niece’s head. Noticing she was completely transfixed by the dragon, Silvia eyed him. “This will hurt very badly. Keep her distracted and the pain will go by quicker.”

Raelyn and Silvia’s hands glowed with bright white as they hovered over her stomach, muttering incantations as they slowly began reversing the ruins.

Charles nodded and smiled at his princess. “Hey… I missed you so much.”

“I thought of you every day,” Miriana whispered, leaning into his touch. “I thought of you when Soren and I were in here. When we made love, well I would hardly call it love-”

The dragon growled at the thought of that man kissing and touching her. He rubbed his nose against her neck and purred, “Mine…” He breathed in her delicious vanilla scent. But even with his nose pressed against her flesh, Soren’s scent seeped through, turning his purr into deep growls.

“Yo-Yours…” Miriana smiled. “After this… please a-after this, can we-” Before she could continue, he tucked a strand of her blonde hair back behind her ear and captured her lips.

“Yes, yes, we’ll mate. No more waiting,” he whispered, biting her lower lip softly. “I don't care if he’s alive or dead. He’ll know you’re mine and I’m yours.”

“All yours.” Miriana’s giggle morphed into a wince as the pain began to set in.

“Hey, do you remember our first night together?” Charles asked, stroking her cheek.
