36: Hide And Don't Seek

Through all the screaming and panic I managed to let Dad and Sara know what had happened. We didn't talk for long as obviously they both immediately were rushing to meet us at the hospital.

Soon sirens were heard as an ambulance showed up for Cormac and a cop car showed up to investigate of foul play was involved. I was far too concerned about Cormac to care about revenge but Alex and Elijah were still being held back from killing the other player.

When the Ambulance arrived they begin trying to stabilise him, I have no idea what they actually did all I know is after doing car and pushing multiple substances into his body they had a pulse and everyone finally let go of the breathe they'd been holding. 

Elijah would have to drive to the hospital so Leo and I took it upon ourselves as the most responsible and cool headed ones to go in the ambulance with him. 

I didn't realise how much being in the ambulance with Cormac lying there un moving would bring back all the memories of Carter. I was taken out of my thoughts when Cormac flatlined again and they began CPR. Leo and I just sat back and let them do their jobs but inside I know we were both dying. Neither of us knew what to say or do and instead just sat their blank faced hoping that they could get him back. 

They managed to get a faint pulse which is when we arrived at the hospital and he was rushed inside. Elijah, Benji, Josh and Alex arrived shortly after and we explained what had happened. We were directed to a waiting room where we sat down miserably to wait. 

It wasn't long before Dad and Sara were rushing through the doors. Dad came straight over to us whilst Sara ran straight past us to go behind the staff only doors to find out more information. We filed Dad in on the situation and made sure he knew that Blake had taken Isaac home and was waiting for news there with Cormac's other close friends.

Thank god for Blake or there's a tiny, small, little chance I may have totally forgot someone had to take Isaac home and May and Callie would've been stuck not knowing what to do with him. God I love that man. I mean not like that, obviously. It's too early to love him, Right? Ugh I hate him. This is not the time to be contemplating my love for my boyfriend. 

Soon after Sara returned to us looking upset and angry.

"They said there's no new news, he's in surgery and they'll let us know once there's an update" She says in a sort of mocking tone. "I mean for gods sake I'm a surgeon how dare they give me the same bullshit sentence they give all family members" She finished and the boys looked a little shocked seeing their Mom swear.

"Darling I think it's because right now your a mother and not a surgeon" Dad said putting an arm around her.

"I know but I better here some news soon or I have no issue walking into that bloody operating room" She said folding her arms and Dad took her hand sitting her down on one of the waiting room seats where Benji, Josh and Leo quietly remained. Elijah and Alex on the other hand were continuously pacing and talking under their breathes. I couldn't quite hear but I assume it was something to do with their murder plans for the player that hurt Cormac. 

It was hours before we heard anything. The doctor came out looking as if she was covered in blood which is always a great sign. Not. She gave us the update but we had to wait until she was done so Sara could translate as she was using proper medical terms as per Saras request. Once she left we all turned our attention to Sara.

"The impact caused Cormac to get a severe concussion as well as a brain bleed. For a while there was a lack of oxygen going to his brain so now it's simply a waiting game on whether or not he wakes up and what his state will be like if he does wake up.
