20: Happy Halloween

When Sara and Dad told us they were going away for the week I didn't know whether to be thrilled or frightened. Yes it meant I was free to do what I wanted but it also meant I was stuck with the boys the whole week with no parents to stop them from doing stupid stuff.

And boy do they do some stupid stuff.

Sara and Dad were off to some work conference for Dad and had decided leaving us alone would be a great chance for us 'bond'.

"Alright remember Charlie, Isaac is your responsibility this week" Dad said smiling as he waited for Sara to come meet him at the door.

"Nothing new then". I said smiling smugly.

He just rolled his eyes and laughed as Sara came rushing into the room dragging a suitcase behind her. She then called the boys in and gave them a massive speech on 'responsibility'. Which none of them other than Benji was listening to.

"Now remember kids, Benji and Charlie are in charge" dad said as he grabbed Sara and his bags and threw them in the boot of the car.

"Haha very funny Pete" Elijah said rolling his eyes.

"We're not joking Elijah, Charlie and Benji are the most responsible so they're in charge" Sara said climbing into the car.

Before any of the boys could protest dad and Sara were yelling I love you and speeding off down the street towards the airport.

"Ok, come on guys we gotta get to school or we're gonna be late." Benji said as he walked into the house to grab his bag.

"Well I guess he is the most responsible" Alex said.

"Yeah but it's still bullshit that our little brothers left in charge of us." Elijah said as we walked into the house to grab our bags.

"Yeah but it's not like we're gonna listen to him" Cormac said grinning as the others joined.

"What does that mean?" I say skeptically.

They all just laughed mumbling "nothing" and walked into the house.

But I knew it wasn't just "nothing" and I was very scared to find out exactly what "nothing" really was.

School went pretty good that day. Everyone was dressed in halloween costumes and the teachers were pretty relaxed. Callie invited me and May around to her house to watch a scary movie and have pizza but I couldn't go because I promised to take Isaac trick or treating. We ended up coming up with plan so that they would come trick or treating with us and then we'd go back to mine.

Everything was going really well so I just knew something was bound to go wrong. The walk home was weird that day. The 4 eldest boys were constantly looking at each other and grinning Whereas Benji and I were just confused. 

Benji said he would come with us to take Isaac out trick or treating, so the 5 of us left home around 5:30. Isaac was dressed as Spiderman and was by far the cutest kid trick or treating. I suppose I am slightly bias though.

Everything was going well and by around 8 o'clock we were all ready to head back home. As we turned around the corner to head down our street I could hear loud music and noise. I really hoped the party was not to close to our house because it was pretty damn loud and I'd never be able to sleep. Unfortunately I was very wrong.

The party was at my fucking house.

I knew "nothing" wouldn't be just "nothing".

We all got to the top of the driveway and just stood there shocked. There were people on the lawn, in the house, on the street and literally everywhere. The whole school was practically here, how did none of us know this was happening.
