CHAPTER 11: THE ENGAGEMENT

It was past three in the morning when Dasha decided to visit the JNC WILSONS. Ilang araw na rin kasi siyang walang natatanggap na balita mula kay Darren tungkol sa kompanya at kahit update man lang.

It was three days after she started working at the JK's Gallery. She even moved to her old condo kung saan niregalo iyon ng ina niya sa kanyang kaarawan. Alam niyang hindi iyon makakaligtas sa pandinig ng stepmom niya pero panahon na siguro para harapin niya ang mga ito. Kahit alam niya sa sarili niya na walang magandang idudulot ang gulo, pero sana rin hindi na uulit pa ang mag-ina. Susubukan niyang umiwas hangga't kaya niya. She can't always hide from them, wala naman siyang maling nagawa.

"What brought you here?"tanong ni Darren ng makita siya na pumasok sa opisina nito. Bumuntong hininga siya saka umupo sa L-shaped sofa saka sumandal sa sandalan nito.

"Ilang araw ka kasing hindi nagparamdam kaya nag-ooverthink ako na baka may nangyari sa kompanya kaya pumunta ako dito. Mukha din namang maayos lang ang lahat."

"I know you're busy with the Gallery that's why I did not call. You should focus on your job from now on. Besides, we haven't plan yet when to release a new collections of jewelries since the last collection was still popular in the market. You don't have to make new designs for the time being. Besides I don't want to add up into your problems specially about Kyrie. How's the papers going on about him?"

"It's fine, everything went smoothly. Kaya nga may panahon akong makapag-overthink."

"Mr. Wilson was concerned too, he always called me about you. Especially when he knows about you staying at your old condo. He even told me to buy a condo near your place so I can always check on you."

Her second Dad won't really stop worrying about her." I'm already 29 and everytime he nags about my safety I always thought of myself like a highschooler who's spoiled of him." aniya na ikinatawa ni Darren.

"He's always like that. Nasanay na nga kami sa kanya, you know how loving and caring he is. especially when it comes to you."

Tumango siya saka natatawa habang inaalala ang mukha ng ama-amahan kapag nag-aalala. Saka naman pumasok ang Sekretarya ni Darren na may dalang mga folder.

"By the way Mr, President,  Chairman Francis was expecting you to play golf with them!" Ani ng sekretarya nito saka tumango.

Nang makalabas ang Sekretarya nito ay saka naman nito pinirmahan ang mga papeles. Tumayo naman siya at lumapit rito saka umupo sa swivel chair sa harap nito at tiningnan ang mga papeles.

Medyo marami nga ang ginagawa nito. But still he looks so dedicated. Darren Tan spent almost his teenager life studying abroad, he's one of the adopted sons of Mr. Wilsons but he never calls him Dad often. But Mr. Wilsons did raise Darren who's God fearing and excellent in everything. He's every woman's dream as he possesses a characteristics of every womans ideal type of a guy.

Wala yata sa mga inampon ni Mr. Wilsons ang may masamang pag-uugali. And all of them was good looking. Isa yata sa pinakamabait at gwapo sa kanila ay si Dexter.

Napa-igtad siya sa kinauupuan ng pitikin ni Darren ang noo niya. "You're suddenly spacing out. Wanna go out with me? I'll be playing golf with Chairman Francis."

"Francis?" tanong niya saka ito tumango at kinuha ang coat.

"Yes, Kairo's father and Chairman of Francis Hotels. They invited me over to play with them and talked about the partnership we agreed."

Tumango siya saka sumunod rito palabas ng opisina at tinahak ang daan patungong elevator.

She remembered the partnership of JNC and the Xie Jie Art Gallery. Ito malamang ang kanilang pag-uusapan.
