—DAMON HAD ENTERED
the ball, dressed to perfection, far before any of the other guests. Having arrived a bit early to meet with Rosalina and attempt to talk up his brother. Only to have his plan ruined by the blondes particularly foul mood.

She had immediately stomped down the spiral-esq staircase to grasp Damon's bicep and drag him outside into the garden. The onyx haired Salvatore following along obediently with furrowed brows. Making sure to avoid stepping on the flowing edge of her gown as they went.

"Hey, slow down-slow down!" He removed his arm from her tight grasp and pulled her to a halt in the middle of a few flower covered hedges. Her chest heaving as she held in the tears that threatened to fall.

"What happened? What's wrong?" He questioned, raising a hand to hold her cheek comfortingly. Wiping any tears that managed to glide down her reddened cheeks. A frown on his lips at the sight of her so distraught.

"It's my mother, she swears that she is hear to unite us as a family. Yet I know she would never do such a thing Damon. She has loathed the creatures we've become for decades and yet it seems as if she has already managed to get Finn in her clutches" she explained as the tears started to flow freely.

"Hey—" he whispered. Pulling her into a well deserved hug. Hand rubbing gently down her back as he waited for her to catch her breath. "—we will sort things out with your mother. Finn will come around, for now we just need to have a good night. Don't want your pretty dress to go to waste" he commented playfully.

She laughed lightly at his joke before pulling back to wipe off her cheeks with the back of her hand. Rebekah would've loved to hear that Damon was convincing her to enjoy her time and put the work she had done on her appearance to good use.

The slightly older blonde original having picked out the elegant gown a day in advance. It was a floor length emerald green dress. Tiny crystals embroidered throughout the silky cloth, around the bodice and skirt.

Her curled blonde locks pinned up into a half up, half down style. Smokey eye and dark nude lip to match alongside the gown. Although the finishing touch was her favorite aspect of the look.

It was a crystal set that Stefan had bought her in the 1920s. Something she previously kept hidden, although now that he was aware of their past. She felt as if it would show how her feelings were still present if she were to wear them publicly.

"You're right, we should enjoy this peace while it lasts" she commented. Damon smiling happily at her change of heart before offering her his arm. Petite hand raising to hook around the crook of his elbow. The two turning to exit the garden and make their way back inside.

Plenty of guests having filled the foyer whilst they were outside. Including the one and only Stefan Salvatore, who had come alone minutes after Damon and Rosalina had fled the building to talk.

Several pairs of eyes moving to stare at the pair as they re-entered. The siblings checking to make sure that the youngest of their clan was doing alright compared to what they had seen previously. Only to find themselves letting out relieved sighs at the smile she now wore.

Meanwhile Stefan stared on jealously. Not having been informed that his older brother was escorting the gorgeous woman. His hand clenching tightly around his flute of champagne as he held back the growl that built in the back of his throat.

Rosalina and Damon, ignoring the burning stares of the groups of guests, waltzed over to the open bar to grasp two flutes of champagne for themselves. Laughing amongst themselves as they joked about their past.

Stefan gulped down the rest of his drink before heading over to the bar with the empty glass held between his fingers. A plain smile on his lips as he approached, stopping to rest a hand on the small of Rosalina's back.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if I could borrow Rosalina for a moment" he spoke. The blonde having goosebumps rise along her arms as she felt his skin come in contact with her own. Damon going to object only to frown and nod at the look he had received from his younger brother.

"Of course" he spoke. Clearing his throat as he left, Rosalina sighing as she nodded for the man to follow her out of the main room and into a study down the way. Shutting the door behind them to avoid causing a scene if the situation escalated.

"Whatever can I do for you Stefan?" She questioned. Arms crossing over her chest as she turned to look him in his eyes. Trying hard to avoid looking over his body and how good he looked in his finely pressed suit.

"You took Damon? You send me an invite to what? Watch you fawn over him of all people?" He growled out. Taking a step forward only for her to take a challenging one in return.

"I asked you to save me a dance Stefan, because I wanted to have a moment to speak with you tonight. I assumed you'd be accompanying your lovely doppelgänger. Hence me asking my best friend, in case you've forgotten that we're nothing more, to escort me" She countered.

"When will you see that I don't want Elena? You're the one I want Rosalina" He commented desperately. Voice wavering as he tried to keep his composure. Tone shifting ever so slightly as she pushed forwards once more. Noses only an inch apart.

"When you act like it" she spat. Stefan moving forwards to press her into the bookshelf lined walls. Lips molding with hers aggressively, hands holding her face to keep her close as he did so.

The two began to fight one another for dominance. Continuously pressing against one another before Rosalina submitted to the desperate man's will. Legs wrapping around his waist as books began to fall from the shelves as they moved.

"Stefan- Oh my god!" A voice called out in shock as the door to the study opened. The two pulling away from one another in fright as they looked over to see a disgusted Elena Gilbert.

The doppelgänger scoffing at their current position before rushing out of the room. Door slamming directly after she fled, leaving the two to collect their breathes. Body's not moving from the position against the wall as they did so.

"I missed this... I missed you" Rosalina mumbled as they stared back at one another. Her finger swiping against his jaw as she moved to press a soft kiss in the spot her finger originally touched. Making his mouth fall open slightly.

"I missed you too" he whispered out breathily. Body leaning into hers as if her touch made him melt. Fingers digging into her dress covered thighs lustfully.

"We can't stay here—" she muttered as she continued to press kisses down his neck. Him nodding weakly as she spoke. Yet neither of them made a move to stop. "—or we can..." she trailed off as she moved away from his neck to press a hungry kiss on his lips.

He moaned into her mouth as they kissed. Hand reaching behind her to unzip the back of her dress, her left hand moving from his shoulder to shove the straps off of her shoulders. The fabric pooling around her waist as she kept her legs situated around his hips.

"This is a bad idea" he mumbled into her lips. Their chests heaving as they continued their passion filled actions. Pulling back for only a moment to stare into her dilated green orbs.

She stayed silent as she reached out besides them to lock the door. Turning her head back to face him, a soft smile spreading on her lips at his dopey smile.

"I don't care" she finalized. Pulling him closer by the neck to continue from where they left off. Neither one caring about what would be waiting for them when they were finished. Taking the time to soak up the feeling of their bodies pressed against one another.
