"Look at the tree,
isn't it beautiful, hm?"

Minho smiled at the sleepy baby
in his arms and cooed when she
just yawned cutely.

"I see, you didn't get those Christmas
enthusiasm genes from your papa.
But that's okay, one is enough in
the household, right?"

"Can you stop influencing
my daughter with discouragement
for Christmas?"

Jisung scolded jokingly as he
walked in with the last box of
decorations that just included
some fairy lights for the tree
but Minho ignored his comment,
too focused on the fact that
the younger had called her
'his daughter.'

Yes, he sure had warmed up
to the fact that he was her parent
quite a lot but so far he had never
called her 'his daughter' or 'his baby.'

He had never called himself
her papa either.

He had never told her
that he loved her.

"You're also a tiny Christmas
enthusiast, you just don't
know it yet, hm?"

Jisung smiled and kissed
his baby's forehead.

"Sure Sungie,
whatever makes you sleep at night.
Anyway can you go put her to sleep
while I bring those fairy lights on?"

"Okay, come here sleepy sweetheart.
You need to be well-rested for tonight,
right?"

Again Aera just yawned and
snuggled close to her papa
once she was in his arms.

"Have a good nap sweets~"

Minho caressed her fluffy
curly hair shortly before going
back to untangle the fairy lights.

Christmas eve was so peaceful.

They ate the foods they had
prepared in the morning,
chatted quietly while Aera
was sleeping in her bassinet
and just enjoyed their
time together.

They truly did.

But at some point it got quiet
in the little living room.

The fairy lights illuminated
the room with warm light as the
two boys sat in front of the tree
and just watched it, appreciated it.

"You know..
I really looked forward
to this Christmas"

Minho spoke softly without
taking his eyes off the
Christmas tree.

"I looked forward to
celebrating Christmas with Nari.
Just me and my baby.

But instead I'm here
with you and Aera.
Two things I wouldn't have
expected to happen at all."

"I'm sorry Minho, I-"

"Don't be, it's alright.
Even though I wish that
she would have been able
to be here, to see the beautiful
tree for example, I'm glad that
you two are here with me.
Thank you for being here with me,
Sungie."

The younger reached over to
cup the ravenette's cheeks and
wiped a single tear from his
soft skin with a warm smile
on his face.

"Thank you too for letting me be here.
If I'm being very honest,
this is the first time that I'm
feeling so warm…

...and loved."

Jisung mumbled the last part
to himself but Minho still heard
it without the younger knowing it.

"It just somehow feels like a true.."

"Family."

The ravenette smiled when the
other blushed cutely but nevertheless
nodded, Minho was right.

It felt like family.

Jisung sighed cutely as he let his
head fall on the older's shoulder,
a shy smile finding its way on his
face when he felt a little peck being
pressed on top of his head.

"So you feel loved, huh?"

"Stop it,
you weren't supposed
to hear that"

The younger hit Minho's thigh gently,
making the other chuckle.

"No need to be embarrassed sweets~
And Jisungie?"

"Hm?"

His big doe eyes sparkled so
cutely when he looked up at
the ravenette and his blushy
cheekies felt warm against
Minho's fingers when he cupped
his face and stroked the soft skin.

"Merry Christmas sweetheart."

And with that he smiled at how
Jisung closed his eyes and leaned
into the touch before he connected
their lips into a gentle kiss.

Merry Christmas everyone <3
