Chapter 14: Alchemy

After parting ways with Gentle Snow and Ye Feng's groups, (Y/N) headed back towards the Deathly Forest, or rather, beyond it. Currently, he planned to return to Red Leaf Town.

His next task at hand was to begin delving into Alchemy.

Passing by the Deathly Forests' Dungeon Area, (Y/N) essentially ignored the stares from the Players around him. Naturally, most of them recognized him from the previous scenes, after all, it was far too eye-catching when someone stood up to the Snow Goddess herself.

Or perhaps it was the rainbow-esque aurora above his head, signaling that he was currently the #1 on the Clear Leaderboards.

"Hey, that flashy guy is back!"

"Oh! Is the Snow Goddess back, too?"

"It's that mysterious Expert!"

Naturally, the surrounding crowds also noticed his return. (Y/N), however, paid them little to no attention. He simply walked through the crowds, the various Players initially intending to go up to him, however, not one of them could gather up the courage to actually do so. Not only had this mysterious Expert forced the Snow Goddess into a passive state, but he was also the confirmed First Clear of the Deathly Forest, a Dungeon which had even the various Guilds helpless.

Calling him the most talked-about individual in Red Leaf Town wasn't far from being an understatement. By this point, almost everyone had heard of him in some way or another.

However, the Players merely got out of (Y/N)'s way, a strange chill seeming to engulf them the closer that he got, however, (Y/N) didn't give them any glances, casually fiddling around with the System. Or rather, he was currently browsing through the Forums for anything interesting.

Unfortunately, his findings were...disappointing, to say the least. There was no real interesting news to be found in the Red Leaf Town region.

The Forums were not necessarily open to everyone, in a way. Players' access to the Forums was actually quite limited, being currently restricted to the region that everyone found themselves in. For example, while he was in Falling Moon Town, (Y/N) had access to the Forums belonging to that region, however, after entering Red Leaf Town, (Y/N) could no longer access the Falling Moon Town Forums, rather, only those of Red Leaf Town.

This was, in a way, a method to simplify the Forums. God's Domain was a ridiculously massive game, hence, if all the regions of the Forums were to be made available at all times, one would probably spend several days simply scrolling through the regions, and still be nowhere near the end of the list. It was simply that expansive.

Naturally, however, the System did provide a general Forum which everyone could access, but that was mostly to explain the basics of the game and a few common topics, as well as to officially post any changes to the game. Only after Players reached Level 10 and began to delve into the Main Cities would the Forums expand beyond the boundaries of the current regions.

With a sigh, (Y/N) swiped his hand upwards, closing the Forums as the panel disappeared from his sight. Without sparing the surrounding Players, who by this time had their eyes practically glued to his every movement, a glance, (Y/N) continued to bite away at the chocolate stick on his lips.

Before even half a minute had passed, he had already left the Deathly Forest's entrance area, disappearing into the crowd. A few figures who wished to get acquainted with him were left downtrodden, however, they could do little about it as (Y/N) was simply too fast.

Following his departure from the Deathly Forest, (Y/N) headed towards the Auction House once more. After several hours had passed, surely new wares had been placed up for auction. Perhaps some would even be of use to him. Particularly the materials to begin his tread on the path of Alchemy with the Swift Wind Potion, which after a glance over the Recipe, didn't require many rare materials.
