Emma- MOMMY, MOMMY! (sobs)
She jumped out of bed and ran to the little girl's room. But as she got there she felt extreme pain in her legs. It didn't matter to her though, the only importance was Emma.
Betty- Shh, shh, I'm right here.
Emma- H-Hold me, I'm scared. (sobs)
Betty- Shh, I've got you baby. (quietly)
Betty laid down in the little girl's bed with her in her arms. She ran her hand up and down her back slowly trying to calm her breathing and her crying. After a few minutes she relaxed but still sniffled slightly. Then Betty talked to her softly.
Betty- What happened, love? (softly)
Emma- You wouldn't wake up. (sniffles)
Betty- What do you mean sweetheart?
Emma- Fp told me to talk to you but you never woke up. (cries)
Betty- At the hospital?
She nodded and hid her head into her now mothers chest.
Betty- It's okay baby, I'm here now, I promise. (softly)
Emma- Don't ever go again mommy. (cries)
Betty- I won't have a baby girl. Can you try to go back to sleep for me?
Emma- (nods) Please stay here. (quietly)
Betty- I will.
She nodded and closed her eyes, almost instantly falling asleep. Then she sighed and looked up, seeing Jughead and Fp in the doorway.
Fp- Betty, you handled that so well.
Betty- Thanks.
Jughead walked over to them and sat on the edge of the bed before taking her hand.
Jughead- Are you okay?
Betty- Yeah.
Jughead- Is she okay?
Betty- I think so.
Jughead- Good.
He gently placed her hand down on her leg but she instantly winced as a tear came to her eye.
Jughead- Oh my god, are you okay? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you.
Betty- I-I'm fine. (tears)
Fp- Are you sure sweetie?
Betty- Y-Yes. (tears)
Fp- Betty...
Betty- I ran here as I heard her crying...that's when it started hurting. (quietly)
Fp- Hon, you shouldn't be running, you need to take it easy.
Betty- I know but I needed to make sure she was okay.
Fp- I know, and you've been doing an amazing job, but you need to take it slow.
Betty nodded and Fp went to grab Betty's pain killers while Jughead stayed with them. As soon as he came back she took the pills and ran her hands through Emma's hair.
Fp- Are you sure you're okay staying in here tonight?
Betty- (nods) I need to stay with her.
Fp- Alright, if you need anything you can call for me, okay?
She nodded and he gave her a kiss on the head before walking out. Then Jughead turned to her.
Jughead- Did you have any more dreams?
