8. Perception

I'm tired of specifying that Izuku uses his phone to talk but it still is his phone talking 

Izuku's pov

"Welcome back" Powerloader smiled as he took my wheelchair out of the back of the car "Hi" I had my phone reply as Eraserhead lifted me into the chair. "Me and Mic will help you set up," Eraserhead said while pushing me towards what I assume was the teacher's dorms. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't a ten-story condo building. UA is a pretty big school so I guess all the teachers live here "your rooms on the bottom floor, beside mine. they're the only two rooms on the bottom floor so they're a bit bigger" Eraserhead explained 

As we entered the building, I saw three doors instead of two. I pointed at the third with a questioning look "Common area, mostly for game nights that the other teachers go to" He explained while wheeling me into the second room on the left "Explore, the other two will bring in your stuff" Eraserhead said while walking into the hallway. Weird, guess he's tired. I wheeled my way around the apartment. There was a kitchen with a low counter, handy, a cosy looking living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with a really soft bed. It's a bit tall but my arm is pretty strong so I should be able to get up easily

Hizashi and Powerloader came into the kitchen with about three boxes of my stuff. "You need a hand setting up tinkerer?" Powerloader asked "Tinkerer?" Hizashi asked "Yeah, deal with it" Powerloader replied. I shook my head and went over to the boxes. "Is that everything? it's a bit scarce" Hizashi asked "I guess I'm just frugal, besides I can't do much without my legs" I replied. The second part came across as a tab bit sad but I'm not exactly upset about lacking my legs. "Would you like to get some more stuff? Go to the mall maybe?" He suggested 

"That sounds really creepy Mic" Powerloader commented "Sure, I haven't gone out in a while" I replied. Hizashi smiled "Okay listener, I need to get changed then I'll be right back down" He winked while walking off. "You've toured the campus already, you know the teachers so I'll bring you to my class tomorrow to meet my class, then your an official UA student" Powerloader explained while handing me a uniform "Thank you Powerloader" I replied "Call me Maijima, Tinkerer," He said while walking off.

 I closed my door and turned around to my apartment... room? whatever this would be classified as. I pulled out the box filled with my clothes and picked out what I normally wore going out. Pants I had sewn up at my stubs, a Star Wars T-shirt, a big jumper with my left arm tied and a beanie glasses combo. It looks better than it sounds, I promise. Once dressed, I heard a knock on my door. I answered to see mic smiling down at me "Ready?" I was about to nod before remembering that I forgot my wallet "Let me go grab my wallet" I replied "Thats alright listener, I'll pay". I was going to refuse but a sharp smirk from Hizashi quieted me. 

We arrived at the mall half an hour later to a quiet crowd, As if in anticipation. Squeezing past the people, me and Hizashi saw the source of their awe. All Might was fighting some villain with a speed quirk. A bad matchup for him. Don't get me wrong, All Mights' strength is almost unparalleled but he cants dish it out in quick bursts. We sat at the police barriers waiting for the fight to end and when it did, the crowd rushed All Might screaming praises. "Let's go Izuku, we're not above being trampled," Hizashi said while wheeling us past the scene.

"Well look who we have here! HIZASHI OLD FRIEND!" The booming voice of All Might called "Ah All Might, it's been what, a day?" Hizashi asked while turning to face the other loud blonde "that's a long time away friend. Now, who do we have here?" He asked. This is starting to get suspicious "This is Izuku, he's a new Student at UA" Hizashi replied, "Hello young Izuku, want an autograph?" I went to shake my head but I was swiftly cut off "Of course you do, how bout a selfie?" All Might bent down to my height, took my phone and snapped a picture of himself mostly. "So young man, what course are you in? General? Business? Support?... Hero?" He chuckled at the last one 

"I just joined the support course, but it's my dream to become a hero" I replied once I retrieved my phone "Well most can become a hero with any quirk and determination!" All Might boomed, causing the crowd around us to cheer "I'm quirkless" I stared blankly. I'd heard rumours that All Might was a quirkist and I was going to test that hypothesis "Well then young man, you should realise that you could help heroes much better if you worked on whatever technologies you think you can make" All Mights voice dripped malice. 

I wish I could say I didn't care but I guess the truth hurts, especially coming from the pinnacle hero. Hizashi and All Might said goodbye and we headed on our way towards a clothing store. I didn't feel like shopping anymore but I go along with it to make Hizashi happy. His smile from earlier is clearly different, it seems sad. Ms Kea used to say that I was addicted to analysation, be it of quirks, personalities and peoples moods, I guess she was right.
