July 14th

Three months had passed since Izuku had visited Katsuki. The latter was elated to continue their friendship. They hung out often and collectively managed to help Kaminari out of his bout of depression. Once he learned of the reason Kaminari was upset, Izuku wanted to confess but his phone had decided to spontaneously combust on that day, does it count as spontaneous if it was set up by a crazy boy with an explosive sense of humour. Speaking of Rodrigo, the boy and Izuku were thick as thieves, even confiding the stories about their soulmates.

Rodrigo is one of less strife, He had left Caloocan two days after meeting his soulmate. they were both absolute nerds so the thought of them separating for a few years for the sake of education wasn't a deep thought. Rodrigo and Izuku had also been working on a few personal projects during club hours. The two had kept their project tighter kept than that of the manhattan project. Not even their supervisor, Powerloader, knew what they were building.

The final days of the first term were coming up, and along with them came exams. Support course exams weren't what you'd expect, there was no written exam but each and every student was given a Hero course student to create a support item for. Rodrigo and Izuku, being Powerloaders 'most favouritest' students got the hardest (pun intended) two students, Tetsutetsu for Rodrigo and Kirishima for Izuku. Both had a field day coming up with new ideas but especially Izuku since he was... Distracted

"Here it is!" Izuku's new phone beeped in an Australian accent, the app he used was still as useless as ever. The item he placed on the table left Powerloader very disappointed "these are brass knuckles" He stated "But they meld with Kirishima's hardening to make his punches stronger" Izuku explained "Any set of brass knuckles will do that. You built artificial lungs for god's sake" He complained. Izuku looked down in shame "Your bright, I don't believe for a second that this is what you've been spending the last two weeks on" Powerloader looked at him accusingly.

"What did Garcia make?" Powerloader asked. Izuku tugged on his sleeve a bit before typing "He made this semi bone-like structure for Tetsutetsu elbows to create a point there" He explained "I will personally take every single one of your tools and throw you into Gen Ed if you don't have a good excuse" Powerloader threatened. Izuku bit his lip for a second before pulling out his phone, sending a quick text. After two minutes of silence between the two, Rodrigo entered the classroom with three suitcases "You sure bout this Kuzu? They're not fine-tuned" He warned. Izuku nodded and wheeled to the back of the classroom

"What are you two doing?" Powerloader was kerfuffled at the two's actions as they set up a partition in the back of a classroom "Sorry boss man, you are legally not allowed see

e this" Rodrigo said while going behind the partition. Many whirs, pings and clicks came from the partition. A few light groans and cries of pain also showed up but still, powerloader didn't move, he was compelled to sit back and watch two of his most promising students explain their lacklustre performances. "Here you are PL, what we've been working on" Garcia said as he pulled the partition away.

The colour drained from Powerloaders face as he saw what he was looking at. There stood Izuku. That's right, stood. Underneath Izuku, instead of a wheelchair, there were two cybernetic legs. Izuku walked forward, then he stumbled, then he finally fell over "Like I said, not fine-tuned". Izuku opened his mouth and surprising powerloader again words came out "We were gonna do it over summer break but I guess we're in trouble" "On the off-chance you two decided not to do a heavily invasive surgery to get him his voice back, you two aren't in trouble" Powerloader affirmed

"Well PL, baby, let me explain," Rodrigo said while moving towards Izuku. He grabbed Izuku's hand. Powerloader never even noticed the robotic hand that Izuku adorned "This puppy is my design. He was a tad insistent that he build the legs so I got full control of the hand" Izuku flipped his hand around to reveal the palm "Calm down Garchan, your forgetting this" Izuku's less robotic voice reminded. A small hologram popped out of the projector in the centre, It was clearly a chip of some sort but there was no obvious purpose of it.

"I've dubbed this the Axon Processer, this is the fifth version of it. The first three didn't work and number four wasn't that efficient. These connect directly to the nerves at the end of my stubs where they redirect the electronic signals sent from my brain to my legs or arms." Izuku explained, "You're telling me, you created the Holy grail of Biorobotics and never thought to tell me?" It was impossible to tell if  Powerloader was actually angry or just excited. "Exactly!" Rodrigo smiled and began rambling

"So Izuku's hand is powered by the Apex reactor, everything is because nerves dont power everything. It's linked through his nervous system though, miracle he didn't get injured when we connected them. Anyway onto features! This has got all the positives of a flesh hand but its cooler. I built the fingers to detach so any possible accessories can be added, the Hand is inlayed with a hologram projector, my own design. It can display anything that you design in CAD or Solid works, plus it can project screens that it can interact with it" Izuku demonstrated each part as Rodrigo explained.

"These legs are similar enough in design, they're at what my height would be if I had legs. There pretty simple, not too many added features but they do have full axial control, so 360 degrees of radial movement. These vents here, they give off any and all excess heat that my body produces since I'm not exactly the most physical person" Izuku once again demonstrated, this time while words came out of his unopened mouth. Everyone else in the room thought that was hella creepy. "I became selectively mute a few years ago but that only caused the muscles in my larynx to become entirely redundant, so We set up a few of the Axon processors to interrupt the nerves that headed there and redirect them to a synthesizer we paid some guy on Fivver to make" He continued. Powerloader chuckled at that, as smart as his two students were, they weren't gods.

"Finally we have this" Izuku said while pulling down his glasses. It revealed the grey Iris hiding beneath with weird green decals spread throughout. "It's a fully functional eyeball, Rentnas and all. The green you see visibly on the outside is sorta like a heads up display for me, telling me the status of my lungs, legs and hand. Plus, it allows me to change settings on the synthesizer" He explained. Powerloader stood in front of the two in stunned silence. He removed his helmet and placed it on his desk "You two, so help me God... I don't even need to verify that any of that was true, heck, you probably hid most of the features knowing you two" He mused. "You two can head home, Garcia was the last person anyway" He added before pulling out his phone and making a call as the two left

"Hey Shortie, what's up?" An old man's voice asked, "Don't call me short Pym!" Powerloader yelled "yeah yeah what do you want anyway? You said you didn't want to nominate a student" Pym asked "That changed when a cyborg walked into my class" Powerloader replied "Give me the names and their project" "Izuku and Rodrigo Garcia" "Same last name?" "No, Izuku's never given me his last name" Powerloader explained "Whatever, send me the files and I'll take a look"

"Trust me Hank, These kids are gonna win. Be the best I-Island has ever seen." "Whatever shortie" Hank chuckled as he hung up the phone. Powerloader grumbled before slamming his phone on the ground, good thing it was a Nokia 3310.
