"Tell me my package came in." I say.

Mom pulls up the package tracker, and sure enough, it came.

"It's really sweet what you're doing, Blake."

Not sweet. I'm doing what she deserves. What they all deserve.

Every Christmas since she was 8, Dahlia has given up her gifts to allow Emerson and Jake to have what they wanted. They were struggling even before her dad left, and before Jake was even born.

She didn't get any christmas or birthday gifts. And my heart was crushed when I found out.

So I did the only reasonable thing to do. I bought a gift for every Christmas and Birthday she missed out on.

20 gifts in total. 10 for each holiday.

My girlfriend is turning 18 in 4 days. I'll visit her tomorrow to give her the 10 Christmas gifts since she's celebrating Christmas eve at home.

Let me break down the 20 gifts. For Christmas, I of course got her:

Notebooks (she's used up all the pages in her current ones)
Note taking set (she loves using those highlighters and things)
Bookstore gift card
Curly hair products
Annotating kit (was so confused???)
Stuffed animal (everyone needs some)
Weighted blanket (i can't believe she doesn't have one!)
Earrings pack (no matter how much she denies it, she wanted jewelry)
CD Player (for jam sesh ofc)
Frame with our grocery store photos

And for her birthday:

Signed copy of her favorite book
Taylor swift CD Collection (CD player needs some CD's, duh.)
Blake T-shirt collection (i think she'd look extremely sexy in my shirts)
New shoes she wanted (i just bought them off the website...)
E-Reader (this was very expensive :))
Gift card to clothing store
Galaxy projector (she was jealous of mine)
Collection of diff sour patch
Pillow with my face on it (ofc!)
Infinity necklace (with a special engraving)

I put a lot of thought into my gifts. Some were funny, some were special to us.

I got Andrea an espresso machine because she mentioned hers was broken. Emerson and Jake will get lots of board games, a batting set I recommend, and a lifetime supply of donuts.

They've all shaped my life in a different way, shown me things I never even wouldn't considered had they not brought it up.

I love those people. Now to stress about whether or not Dahlia will like her gifts.
