when i thought it couldn't get any worse,
you stepped into my life;
charming me,
with your symphonic words, intoxicating beauty,
gaining my trust ever so easily;
slithering through, burrowing through, to the
home you made in my cracks, my imperfections,
the places i was too weak to fill;
you comforted me, made me feel full.
but you were secretly sucking me dry;
stealing every last bit of my sanctity,
i crumpled the day you slithered out,
shattering from the holes you left;
writhing from the unreliability you left in me,
how you left me unfinished,
on the brink of death, your burrow still open,
my heart convulsing from your poison.
