He could tranform into a shark. It was also stated that he was fairer than Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.
It is said that Acheilus saved Ajax the lesser from deatha which was sentenced by Athena herself. By saving this guy, Acheilus was killed by Athena and she gave his powers to Posiden.
His father was Zeus and his mother was Lamia.
