This creature is a house spirit of dwellings and settlements. They will take up people to live in their home but cause the people misfortune and problems.
In the village, once a year they hold a ceremony to ward out the spirits.
This creature hates noise, so prior to the ceremony, there is for weeks of silence. So once attracted to the silence, the people bang on drums, sing, and gongs playing to rid the place of this creature.
