Achlis

Mythology: Roman

A man named Pliny the Elder in the 1st century BC descibed a strange creature. This creature resembled an elk but with some differences. Its upper lip was so large that it had to graze backwards to avoid chewing its lip. Its back legs has no joints, so it had to sleep standing up or leaning against a tree. Because of these difficulties hunters had an easy way of capturing them. The hunters would cyt haf of the tree away so when the Achlis put any weight on it, it would fall and with no joints it cannot get to its feet fast enough to get away.

Poor thing :(
