A month, Tommy and Alexa had been working at the Hero Agency for an entire month now. A whole month was spent under the noses of some of the greatest, most intimidating Heroes in all of L'manberg, and only one knew and had promised he wouldn't tell a soul. And he'd kept that promise so far, which was a relief for both Tommy and Alexa. While there had been plenty of times they'd had small run-ins with the Heroes during their nightly activities, it was rare for whichever Hero who had been patrolling to bring up anything during their day shifts. Save for Siren. He would ramble to Tommy about random things from patrol the previous evening, but that was about it. Speaking of Siren.

When Siren out of nowhere decided to invite Tommy to join him, Zephyrus and Blade for lunch, to say he was surprised would be an understatement. Yeah, he may have spent time with him whenever he'd ask him to come to his office, and even on the rare occasion Siren would come sit with him at his desk to fuck with him or just generally be a dick while he was working.

"Why the fuck do you want me to join you guys for lunch? I mean, isn't that also like you guys break? I wouldn't want to intrude-"

"Oh please, you wouldn't be intruding on anything you little gremlin. C'mon, pleeeaaaassseee?" He began to whine, making a pouty face as he gave Tommy puppy dog eyes. Tommy, in turn, simply rolled his eyes and agreed, anything to make him stop whining. It's not like he wanted to spend time with his bitch of a boss and his two teammates. Nope, he is too much of a big man for that.

Tommy was invited into his office and they'd just sit in silence while they worked. Tommy couldn't exactly figure out why, he guessed it was just in case he needed him to get something for him, or he just likes the company. Even though they never really talked during the times Siren would call him to his office, he appreciated the oddly comfortable silence that ensued, it gave him a break from the loudness of the main office area and the lectures he'd get from other interns about how it was his responsibility to 'actually do his work instead of just messing around' as one, particularly annoying intern in Tommy's eyes, had put it. And while he'd had a point, Tommy still didn't like being told what to do, he was a Big Man that didn't need to be told how to do his job! But he would listen anyway and stop talking to whoever he was talking to, or stop doing whatever it was he was doing to keep back the boredom he felt.

There was one instance where, a week after the time he and Alexa came in with bad injuries, Siren had come to check up on him. Asked how he was doing, made small talk, joked about a few things, and then he was back to his office to read over important documents and sign off on some things.

For Alexa, she had taken to hanging out with Awesamdude, Zephyrus and TimeScape whenever they weren’t too busy. Excitedly showing them little gadgets and tinker toys she’d made in her spare time or whenever she didn’t have anything else to do. She would occasionally hang out with Siren as well, sharing random thoughts and facts she had picked up from nature documentaries. Siren, of course, practically had stars in his eyes at finding someone else with a love for random animal and insect facts; hell, or just random ass facts in general. And oh, of course they had to mess with Tommy with this knowledge, why wouldn’t they? Annoying him was fun, what could they say?

Besides, Tommy had a form of retaliation that had almost worked in making her shut up entirely.

“Did you know Alex has a tendency to chirp whenever she’s embarrassed or really excited?

He enquired Mr. Dude (as Tommy had decided to call him) and Zephyrus, both of them looking at him with curiosity in their eyes while Karl just nodded. “I’m with her for most of the day, I’ve heard her do it a few times. It is adorable.” He piped in with a smirk, already seeing where Tommy was going with this.
