29: Trapped In The Closet

A/N: I know this chapter is short, but I've been wanting to do the last half of the chapter for SO FUCKING LONG AND I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT!!

Just as Luke was showing Yuki the cherry pie he made, Beelzebub scurried into the room and closed the door behind himself.

"We're in big trouble," He panics, "You're about to be found out."

Luke blinks owlishly, "...Huh?"

"We're having a surprise inspection. Now."

"A surprise inspection? What do you mean?"

"I mean exactly what I said." Beelzebub frowns, "Lucifer shows up unannounced, and goes around checking each room to see if anyone is out past curfew."

"Oh-"

"SHHHHHOOT!!" Yuki pulls at hair, momentarily cheering himself for catching himself from swearing, "[Y/n]!"

"Huh?" Beelzebub is taken aback, "Is she just not with Levi or Satan in their room?"

"No! She's out on a date!" Yuki stresses, "Damn it, I don't think she told Lucifer, though!"

"Wha... A-A date?"

Luke nods, answering Beelzebub's question, "Yeah, Simeon had set her up with some demon named Luciel. It's what I was talking about earlier, why I was upset with him."

Beelzebub holds his hand up to mouth to nervously bite his nails, "Even if [Y/n] calls now, Lucifer still wont make an exception just because she's out with someone. She's still out past curfew."

Yuki pulls his D.D.D. out frantically, "I'll call her now. For now, just try to hide Luke!"

Out of anxiety, Beelzebub takes the pie from Luke, already picking up a slice.

"Hey!"

"J-Just this one slice, please. It'll calm me down." Beelzebub pleads, already handing the rest of the pie back.

Luke frowns, "Fine, but just one! I made this for [Y/n]."

Beelzebub frowns at that. He'll have to tell Luke later that you're actually allergic to them.

Luciel can't help the fond smile as he gently places the teacup puppy in your cupped hands.

"IWBEIDBWISNAIS!!!" You sob intelligently. "HE'S SO SMALLL!!!"

"He is."

"HE'S SO TINY!!!"

"Yes."

"HE'S SO FLUFFY!!!"

"Mhm."

"HE BEBSISRBRISNAKDN!!!!"

"I understand."

Luciel gently pets your head with a soft smile as you cry over yet another tiny little animal. There's one pet adoption center in Devildom that only has normal Human Realm animals. It's very popular as they receive many donations from lots of patrons.

Luciel's favorite part of the adoption center are the teacup dogs. Surprisingly, not many get adopted since their health isn't desirable, and their lifespan is shorter.
