Like Izuku had promised he went to Takoba beach the next day to start his training with Toga.
"Ok, so let me get this straight. I have to finish cleaning this entire beach by the end of the school year, right? And it's already been more than half of the year, correct?" Izuku said, Toga nodded. "Yup!" Oh well, shoot-
"Ok, but before you start hauling all this stuff away you have to jog 3 times around the entire thing. Hurry up, go!" Toga decided to bring that up just now, if he doesn't hurry he's afraid she might add something else. So he got straight to it.
When he finished the first lap around the Beach/park he was pretty much fine just a bit out of breath.
When he had done the second lap Toga encouraged him to keep going, but now he felt more exhausted and the real training hasn't even begun! After the third lap he was panting, you can't really blame him the whole thing was like 3 miles.
In total he had ran 9 miles, at this point he didn't even know if it was still morning.
"Ok! Izu, we're gonna start out easy. Your gonna clear out.. This section! By the end of the week." She pointed to a corner with mostly broken appliances, and a whole fridge. "The fridge will be like the final boss on Friday. Start with a microwave or something." Toga just had to pick that section- like, does she not see all the broken glass?- literally one of the worse sections.
Ok, not that bad.. There was another section with a whole car.
"But Toga- I mean himiko. Isn't the glass, I don't know.. Dangerous?" If he bleeds his mother was sure to notice. "No buts! Just be careful and you'll be fine." Well that was reassuring. (Sarcasm.)
Ok, he can do this.
By the end of the morning and mid-day he had managed to take out 2 microwaves, 5 broken phones, and three sinks. The rest were broken shards of what might have been screens, and fragments of plates/kitchinary.
Toga had just been on top the fridge trying to get a signal. "I've got it!" She exclaimed after finally getting a wifi signal, and there was Izuku who had hauled 3 sinks. Probably the hardest in his opinion.
"Oh yay! You made progress! Also I might not be here tomorrow, but you still have to workout here mister! Because of reasons. Text me!"
He could understand, parents and stuff.
So he went back home especially happy, and hungry.
"MOM, I'm baCK-" he stopped himself, he forgot. He didn't tell her where he went. So he crept upstairs not before taking a banana to eat. When he entered his room.. His mom was there. Looking stern.
"Where were you? The entire morning I didn't see you, so where were you?" Oh shoot, he would probably get grounded if he didn't think of something. He felt out into his hoodie pocket nervously and he felt something. He glanced and he saw a necklace with a note attached. His eyes widened but then he looked back at his mom so he didn't draw attention. 'An excuse for your mom, lol. - Himi-chan ❤' is what the note said. He suddenly got a ding from his phone.
"Don't you dare look at your phone, answer me."
He didn't get to see who it was but he had a feeling it was Himiko.
"Well, I went out to buy you a present. A necklace!" After he said that she looked surprised. He moved behind his mom and put the necklace on her.
It was a pink rosy butterfly necklace with Sakura blossoms on either side. And beads adorning the clasps and sides of the butterfly to keep it in place.
His mom inspected the necklace with awe, the chain was a light but cool metal and the clasps were a matte gold color.
"Oh, well thank you.. I thought that- Nevermind. Thank you, dinner will be made in a couple minutes."
As soon as she left he got out his phone.

He laughed to himself. Toga really is a good friend, he wonders how he got so lucky. But his mom... Not so much..
How is it that Toga seems to care more than his mother? Oh gosh, that's a terrible thing to ask, everyone has reasons. His mother's was how he turned out.. No so much as a person but more of an attachment, or lack of.

He turned off his phone. Tomorrow Toga wouldn't be there because she had to go do something, whatever it was must be important. Hopefully she'd be done with whatever she was doing by Monday.
He set an alarm on his phone for the morning, when his mother called. "Dinners ready!"
He went down and got a plate of what his mother had cooked and went on his way back to his room. His mother sighed, she didn't really like it when he went to his room to eat. It left her alone. And now, guilty.
Meanwhile Izuku in his room only felt slightly guilty for lying to his mother about where he was. But soon enough it would all pay off with whatever Toga's master plan was. Speaking of which he should buy her a gift, as repayment for saving him from his mother's wrath.
After finishing eating he set his plate by his table and went to bed. Tomorrow he could wash it before he went to Takoba.
And soon he went to sleep, determined...
